Before moving to London for university, I lived on a farm in Wales with my family - and many cats! Due to babysitting my two younger cousins for the last five years, I have realised that I love to work with children. I am in awe of their ability to view the world from a perspective so different from the regular adult we encounter every day. My favourite book of all time is 'Silence of the Girls' by Pat Barker. This novel is an essential read, not only for women, but also the male population. It illustrates how the current state of affairs within the international sphere replicates modern day phenomena, with violence against women repeatedly being used as a weapon of war. Thus, my interest in gender-based scholarly studies and the international feminist movement is continually growing. Whilst I love to read in my spare time, I also enjoy singing and meeting new people. However, when I am not singing or socialising, I enjoy playing table tennis and badminton with my older brother. After receiving three As and an A* in my A Levels (the A* being in English literature and language), I decided to go to the London School of Economics and Political Science to study Politics and International Relations.
