I'm currently a veterinary medicine student at university, slated to graduate in 2030. I have two younger brothers and have always been one of those strange children who enjoyed going to school for the learning, not just the fun. Outside of education I am a knitter, a crocheter, a badminton player, and an avid creative writer. I was involved in Scouts for two years and was part of the National Honour Society in high school, a society for students in American high schools that select members based on four pillars: academics, character, service, and leadership. I enjoy explaining things and hope to ensure that my students gain a greater appreciation of the subject matter, but I will settle for getting them through their exams if that's all they want. I attended CAJ, an international high school in Japan that following the American curriculum. I took 10 AP subjects, which are slightly narrower in scope but no less thorough in depth than A levels, and scored 5s (highest score) in all but English language, where I scored a 3 (pass mark). The AP subjects I took were Japanese, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Statistics, Physics 1, Physics 2, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Comprehension, and English Literature and Composition.

I’m a final-year Aerospace Engineering student with excellent GCSE and A-Level results. I’ve been tutoring for several years and really enjoy helping students achieve their potential. I focus on making lessons clear, supportive, and engaging, building confidence step by step. I’m a third-year aeronautical engineering student who knows from experience what it feels like when lectures, textbooks, or problem sheets just don’t make sense the first (or fifth) time. I’ve been in the position where school support wasn’t quite enough, which is why I enjoy helping students bridge that gap and actually understand what’s going on, not just memorise steps. My approach is relaxed, patient, and focused on building confidence alongside knowledge. There are no silly questions here — if something doesn’t make sense, that just means it’s worth asking about as I strongly believe that asking questions is part of learning, and no one should feel embarrassed for needing things explained differently. Outside academics, I’m a big sports fan and still play football for my own club as well as my university team. I love the outdoors, animals, and generally staying active, which probably explains why I like explanations that are clear, practical, and grounded rather than overly abstract. My goal is to make learning feel less intimidating and a lot more achievable. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and ability to break complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow steps — skills that translate directly into effective tutoring. During school, I took on leadership and mentoring roles, including serving as a Maths Ambassador, and went on to complete certifications in Sports Leadership, Mentoring in Violence Prevention, and Mental Health Ambassador training. Together, these experiences strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to build both understanding and confidence in others.

Outside of work I'm a keen runner and hiker, who loves spending time outdoors outdoors or exploring London, and enjoys getting lost reading a great book! Hi I'm Freddie! I've just completed my second year of university, where I am reading Mathematics & Philosophy at the University of Warwick. At A-level I studied Maths, Further Maths, Philosophy and English. Aside from academics, I am a big fan of playing and watching sports, having played rugby for most of my life and more recently trying my hand at tennis and golf. I attended Maidstone Grammar School from the ages 11-18. At GCSE I achieved 11 9's and one 6 (in Spanish). At a level I achieved A* in Maths, Further Maths, Philosophy and an A in English Literature. This October I will go into my final year of BSc Mathematics and Philosophy at the University of Warwick.
