My name is Aminah, and I’m an Accounting and Finance student at Aston University with a strong academic background in Maths and a passion for helping students feel more confident and capable in the subject. Before university, I completed my GCSEs and A Levels at King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls. At GCSE level, I achieved a grade 8 in Mathematics, which I’m especially proud of. Having recently gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges that KS1 to GCSE students face, and I’m well-equipped to guide them with effective study techniques, structured support, and encouragement. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in maths and a clear sense of how to explain concepts in a way that is simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. About me: I am a Taiwanese girl living in South Africa. I am able to speak both English and Mandarin fluently. I have worked as a translator and tour interpreter for Mandarin speaking delegates before and I have been living in South Africa for 20+ years. I am able to teach English from beginner stage up to advanced level. I prefer teaching students between the ages of 12 to 18. I also have experience in teaching English to adults. I love reading novels in my spare time and I love watching anime and reading manga. I studied Homoeopathy at Durban University of Technology and graduated with a Master of Technology degree in Homoeopathy. I have been teaching Traditional Chinese online for more than a year now and have obtained a Level 5 TEFL course from TEFL Academy with Qualifi certification. I am currently studying a Postgraduate degree in Acupuncture.

I am currently an undergraduate at Loughborough University studying Robotics Engineering. I am interested in satellites and fighter jets and mathematics is my favourite subject. I’m an athlete and love fitness, and have been an academic for the longest. I love research and solving very hard maths problems. I love music and everything in between My highest level of qualification is a levels where I studied Mathematics, Maths and Physics as well as taking AS chemistry in year 12. I also took my GCSE’s where I did mathematics and science and further maths gcse with grades ranging from 8-9. Currently I am doing a masters in Robotics, Mechatronics and Control engineering

Hi! I’m Surabhi - I love helping students not just understand their subjects, but actually enjoy learning. I focus on building confidence, finding the right approach for each person, and making lessons engaging and interactive. I’m patient, approachable, and always happy to answer questions, no matter how small or silly they may sound :) Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, art and dance! All of which helps me bring a bit of creativity into our sessions. Over the course of my education, I have developed strong knowledge in Economics but even more in English Literature - a subject I am highly passionate about, alongside effective study strategies that I now enjoy sharing with others.
