Hi! I am Abbie, I’m 23 years old and from Scotland. I have just recently finished my degree in Spanish and I am looking to gain some experience teaching. I am happy to teach all levels and abilities and look forward to giving you confidence in the language! I attended school in Scotland and then moved down to Bath in England for university where I studied Spanish. I have recently graduated from the course. I have experience teaching English abroad and in the UK. I have studied Spanish for around 9 years and have volunteered helping younger people at school to learn the language and gain more confidence. I also have studied Modern Studies and Spanish at advanced higher level.

I’m Joseph, a postgraduate Computing and Information Systems student at Queen Mary University of London with a background in Geography and Business. I specialise in helping students build confidence in Python programming, database management, and related areas. I take a supportive and structured approach, breaking down complex topics into simple steps so students can understand and apply them I am currently studying for a part-time MSc in Computing and Information Systems at Queen Mary University of London, where I am developing strong skills in programming, database management, and information systems. Prior to this, I completed a BA (Hons) in Geography with Business at the University of Nottingham, which gave me a solid foundation in analytical thinking, research, and data interpretation. This blend of technical and business-focused education allows me to support students with both computing subjects and broader problem-solving skills.

I am an experienced Chemistry tutor for GCSEs and A-levels. In 2025, I achieved A*A*A* in my A-levels of Biology, Chemistry and Maths. I'm currently on a gap year and I hold 5/5 unconditional offers to study at university next year, including 4/4 medical school offers, alongside an offer to study integrated natural sciences. I have helped many students become more confident and achieve top grades in their exams and look forward to continuing this. In 2025, I achieved A*A*A* in my A-levels of Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm 22 years old from the North East. I am currently completing my Masters in Developmental Psychology and have a deep interest in education and teaching. My background in psychology has helped me to gain a deep understanding of how young people learn and how best to explain tricky concepts. In my free time I enjoy reading, pilates and spending time with my dog! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your full potential :) I am currently a Masters student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Developmental Psychology. Previous to this, I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam and achieved a 2:1 grade. For my A-Levels, I did psychology (grade C), english literature (grade B) and history (grade B), as well as an EPQ (grade B). I have my GCSEs in both maths and english. While I found the rigid exam structure of psychology at A-levels tricky, diving into the discipline at uni has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of how the exam boards trip students up, and how to best help students to excel in rigid exams.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.
