Getting into this course at a Russel Group University required stellar GCSE and A Level grades which I was able to achieve through thorough and dedicated studies and personal teaching. I believe that active learning through frequent recall, question and answer sessions and flashcards is the best way to retain information. Hello! I am originally from Italy and have lived in London for the past 7 years. I have a passion for both languages and Maths and I’ve been teaching Maths for 3 years. My students describe me as a really patient person who explains things very clearly in a way that makes sense. I focus on building confidence and nailing exam technique. I attended a language secondary school in Italy, where I studied English, German and French as foreign languages. I then got my BA in Sociology and Politics at Goldsmiths University of London. After that, I trained to be a teacher through Teach First, achieved my QTS and went on to get my PGDE. I have been teaching at a school in Bromley for the past 3 years, and since last year I also took on the role of KS3 Lead within the Maths department, which has allowed me to develop my leadership skills.

About me: I am completing my Physics degree at the University of Manchester and used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions at school, which inspired me to pursue a career as a scientist. One of my hobbies is astronomy, especially stargazing and tracking meteors during meteor showers. Still, my true passion is to make knowledge accessible to as many people as possible and use science to make the world a slightly better place. I graduated from one of the most elite high schools in my home country, which focused on Maths and Computer science. I used to compete in Physics and Astronomy competitions and olympiads, where I was one of the top-performing students. Before I studied Physics, I studied Architecture for two years at the same university - I wanted to try something different, since I love arts and see myself as a very creative person, but realised that science was my true passion and switched to Physics, where you find me now. I have worked several part-time jobs and completed several internships to support myself alongside my studies. These include an internship as a civil servant, part of the Government Operational Research Service, and the National Teaching Internship Programme, provided by the Department of Education. The teaching internship involved teaching GCSE and A-level Maths and Physics to students between years 7 and 12 in a few local schools and colleges. This experience helped me realise how much I enjoy teaching, fostering critical thinking skills in others, and guiding them towards discovering their passions. It also taught me how inclusive and expansive science can be and how crucial education is.

I achieved A* in Economics and A's in Biology and Chemistry in my recent A-levels. Unlike typical tutors, I've been in the student's shoes, balancing A-levels, a social life, and university applications. As a gap year student aspiring to study medicine, I'm here to guide you through this challenging journey. In Year 12, I faced initial struggles, earning E, D, and C grades in Economics, Chemistry, and Biology. But within 8 months, I transformed my grades in economics achieving one of the highest marks in the country. As a student I've overcome the same roadblocks, revision hardships, and academic pressures as you. Top grades require more than just content knowledge; they demand effective hard work. Luck plays a role, but it's essentially a mathematical probability principle. With strategic effort, you can tilt the odds in your favour, no matter what challenges come your way. My tutoring sessions are personalised to each student's needs. To ensure the most effective guidance, I ask students to provide specific instructions for our sessions. This way, I can tailor my approach . My tutoring philosophy is based on a series of books / research paper i have read on educational neurosciences of how to learn most effectively which i personally implemented thus i know work for the average student . I have tutored for over 1000 hours so far - testimonials available on request . I accommodate the students as much as possible . Spaces are available but they are limited Achieved A* , A , A in alevels in 2023 in Economics , Biology , Chemistry respectively. As a student I know the struggles of taking some of the hardest alevels and balancing the workload that comes with them , I also took GCSEs in 2021 and received 12 GSCES at 9-7 grades .
