Hi! I’m a Geography student at the University of Birmingham with a genuine passion for helping students unlock their full potential. Although I was initially predicted CCD at A-level, I achieved AAB on results day — something I’m incredibly proud of. This experience has shaped the way I tutor. I understand what it feels like to doubt your ability, and more importantly, I know what it takes to turn things around. My goal is to help my students achieve the same transformation, or even better! I have over a year of tutoring experience, and I genuinely find it one of the most rewarding things I do. Seeing students grow in confidence, understand topics they once found difficult and improve their grades is why I love tutoring. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, essay writing, research and data interpretation skills, which I bring directly into my tutoring.

I'm a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. I have achieved high grades in both GCSEs and A-levels, and have worked with a range of students. Whether a student needs help preparing for exams, catching up in class, or wants to get ahead, I focus on creating a positive and supportive learning environment. My goal is to help students improve their grades while also inspiring curiosity and helping them form strategies for success. 100% of my students so far have seen an improvement of at least two grade, with many moving up many grades. I have completed both my GCSEs and A-Levels in the UK, achieving strong results across a range of academic subjects. At GCSE level, I studied core subjects including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, and the Sciences, along with Citizenship, Geography, French and RE, which gave me a well-rounded academic foundation. For A-Levels, I chose to pursue Biology, English Literature and Politics, which not only deepened my subject knowledge but also developed my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. I am studying law at university.

Hi! I’m Alice, an enthusiastic and passionate English Literature tutor. I love exploring stories, characters and different interpretations of texts, and I particularly enjoy helping students become more confident in expressing their own ideas. I’m friendly, patient and approachable, and I believe lessons should be engaging, supportive and give students the confidence to develop their own opinions. My experience as a primary school teacher has taught me the importance of building positive relationships with students and understanding that everyone learns differently. I want my students to feel comfortable, supported and confident in their lessons, whilst I help them to discover what they enjoy about learning and achieve their goals. I'm excited to be part of your learning journey! I have a First Class Honours degree in Drama and English Literature, alongside a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). My degree gave me a strong academic foundation in English Literature, while studying Drama developed my communication, presentation and analytical skills. As an experienced primary school teacher, I have developed strong skills in lesson planning, assessment and adaptive teaching, allowing me to tailor lessons to different learners and their individual needs. My teaching experience has also given me a strong foundation in English, reading and writing, as well as experience supporting students working at a variety of levels. I’m now excited to bring my academic knowledge and classroom experience into tutoring, providing supportive, engaging and personalised lessons that help students develop both their skills and their confidence.
