Hi! I’m Erin, a 20 year old full time University student studying a masters degree in Astrophysics at the University of Birmingham. I love musicals and performing with my accapella group at uni. I also do a lot of running and love playing ice hockey. I attended Aquinas College, Stockport. Here I obtained an A* in A-level Physics and an A in A-level Chemistry and Maths. I also have 10 GCSEs, with a 9 in Physics, Biology and Food Preparation and Technology, along with 8/7 in all other subjects. Last summer I spent a week completing work experience as a Scientific Communicator at Kielder Observatory, where I helped out and led events teaching all about space to the public. Finally, I have spent the last year tutoring a GCSE student in Higher Separate Physics and Higher Mathematics.

I am currently looking to tutor Year 10 Chemistry students, doing the AQA specification. I graduated with a First in BSc Medical Sciences. Firstly, we will work out the student's weak topics using a past paper. Then, we will focus on those topics. I am good at explaining concepts in an easy-to-understand way. I use homework questions to reinforce the student's knowledge, and I use past papers to check how they're progressing towards their target grade. We will set time-specific goals, so the student has already achieved their target grade by the time their exam comes around. I know exactly what the examiners are looking for in your answers, so I will coach you on how to gain all the marks for each type of question.
