Hello! I'm Sila, an aspiring Chemistry student studying at University College London :) My main goal as a tutor is to get a firm understanding on my student's weak areas and plan lessons efficiently to help them as much as possible. I am dedicated to help tutees reach their full potential through the way that they learn and thrive the best! I am looking forward to meeting and helping everyone who's willing to boost their chemistry knowledge! On top of this, I am also keen and willing to help and make a positive impact around students' Biology and Spanish content. I attended Buxton school and finished my GCSE's with grades 9 in Biology and Chemistry, an 8 in physics, and a 7 in maths. I studied my A levels at City of London Academy Southwark and achieved A,A,A in Biology, Chemistry and Business Studies. In my gap year I worked as a tutor teaching remotely and physically. The subjects I taught were Chemistry as well as Biology.

I have worked as a lecturer at De Montfort University for over 15 years. I hold a PGCE in further Education, an MA in English Language Teaching, and a BA honours in English. I taught English for Academic Purposes at university. This enabled me to develop various teaching approaches at different levels of English usage. I have also taught KS3-KS5 in the UK and abroad during which I have been observed several times and demonstrated that I was outstanding. I have used various teaching aids ranging from pictures, flash cards, to a variety of IT techniques. I have also used peer interaction and assessment to develop learners. Teaching at university enabled me to teach presentation skills. This has enabled me to do the same during training, coaching and mentoring sessions with colleagues. I have mentored a number of tutors. In my experience as a university lecturer I have used a variety of online platforms to teach students during the Covid-19 pandemic. I began my journey into English in 2002 when I did a BA (hons) in English at Demontfort university. Following this I did an MA in Children’s Literature in 2005 due to my immense love of reading. However, it was only when I landed a job at a resources centre that I decided to specialize in teaching and so I did a PGCE in education and an MA in English language teaching both in 2007-2009. I absolutely love teaching since then - as cliche as it sounds it is truly my passion and the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I love my students and to see them excel truly makes me content. I’ve been told that I have a gift for building a rapport with learners and I to feel this is something that comes naturally to me because as a student I myself struggled with being misunderstood and branded as a ‘bad student’. I feel as a result I can relate to students and their struggles more easily. I’m also very patient and an excellent listener.

Hello! My name is Stephanie Mazambi and I’m in my second year at King’s College London studying Medicine. Alongside my academic, teaching students is a genuine passion of mine as I love to help students unlock their full potential and secure the grades they deserve. Guiding peers through the intricacies of academics has been my joy. From achieving stellar GCSE results, including 2x 7`s, 2x 9`s, and 5x 8`s, to securing an A in A-Level Biology, my journey has been marked by dedication to learning. Also, recently completing my A-levels, I understand how hard and frustrating preparation for exams can be and hope to be a helping hand to those who need it. Have previously been involved in Regional + National Lego Robotic Competitions and have mentored for students after. Currently, I am studying Medicine at King`s College London where biology and chemistry are still very valuable and I would be able to offer any advice to any prospective medical students. been tutoring for over 4 years from primary school standard to IB standard. All the resources I use are made by myself for each students particular needs and I always aim for students to achieve top grades. I am available to tutor all the subjects in my profile to GCSE level I also tutor Geography HL, English Literature SL and Mathematics A&I SL at IB level I completed 11 different GCSE subjects in the year 2020 and moved on to complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in my time at 6th form (the IB is an equivalent of A-Levels but with 6 subjects instead of 3). I studied: chemistry, Biology, Geography, Maths, Chinese and English Literature in the diploma!
