I have a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences (Materials Science) at the University of Cambridge, ranking in the top third of my cohort last year. I have tutored at the secondary-level, and have since offered Oxbridge admission prep (ESAT, interview). I teach GCSE and KS3 chemistry & maths. I am currently working as a teaching assistant at a secondary school. During university I have held internships and voluntary roles as an academic representative, college representative, research assistant at a pharmaceuticals company, and web developer creating educational resources for undergraduate materials science, along with a breadth of research projects and other coursework. Hi, I'm Komal! I tutor Italian, 11+, Maths (GCSE, both Foundation and Higher), Primary English, A-Level Law, and A-level Psychology. Through my Psychology degree, I studied motivation theories in depth, and I draw on this when helping students build revision strategies that genuinely work for them, whether that's a sense of progress, clear goals, or feeling in control of their own learning. I also served as my university's Students' Union President, which sharpened my communication and organisational skills. My goal is to make lessons practical, encouraging, and tailored to how you learn best. A little more about me: I'm a native Italian speaker and also fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and English, so I love working with students from a range of language backgrounds. I completed my primary and middle school education in Italy before moving to the UK in Year 10, which gave me a strong foundation in Italian language and culture alongside adapting quickly to the English education system. Despite the transition, I achieved an 8 in GCSE Maths, and I'm comfortable teaching both Foundation and Higher level content as a result. I went on to study A-level Maths in college, before graduating with a First Class degree in Psychology from Manchester Metropolitan University.
