Hi, my name is Aoife, I am 18 years old and currently a first year law student at the University of Leeds (and an aspiring human rights lawyer!). My special subject is English, primarily English literature. My highest academic achievements are my 3 A levels (A* in politics, A in history, B in English literature). I am willing to tutor the English subject to all ages, especially primary and secondary as I believe this is when that extra boost in confidence is so important! My passion for English is reflected in my GCSE grades too - achieving a grade 9 in English language and grade 8 in English literature. I have previous experience with children with SEN needs such as autism and ADHD, shaping my teaching style as one of patience and prioritising clarity without exerting pressure on a student. I personally struggled with confidence in both primary and secondary school, and going through tutoring myself helped with this enormously. My personal hobbies include reading and creating artwork in my free time. I look forward to helping you/your child with English and literacy skills! For secondary school I attended Carr Manor Community school, achieving GSCEs all grade 7 and above. I excelled in humanities subjects, with a grade 9 in both history and English language and a grade 8 in English literature. My academic passion carried on into my A levels which I completed at Notre Dame Catholic VI Form College. I achieved an A* in A level politics, A in A level history and a B in English literature. I have gone on to be accepted to study law at the University of Leeds, a Russell group university. I remain open to constantly improving my skills and developing new ones and therefore significantly look forward to tutoring new students, sharing my knowledge and developing my own. I specialise in English and literacy, hoping to develop the skills of younger students to provide that extra boost in confidence.

As a dedicated and experienced tutor, I offer comprehensive support in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Biology for all educational levels, including KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, AS, A-Level, and Higher Levels. Hello! I am currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Bath. My main pastimes include hiking/camping, going to the gym, and running, so I do hope that I can relate to many of you! For me, tutoring is developing a clear understanding of subject knowledge instead of regurgitation of facts; learning should be to question and to think critically rather than to memorise. With me as a tutor, you can expect to gain a deep insight into your subject and acquire the ability to excel in your exams. I attended Swanmore College Of Technology where I studied 10 GCSE's achieving 5 9's in (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Enterprise and marketing and English literature)- 4 8's ( Maths, Computer science, English language and History) 1 7 ( Further maths). In my A- levels I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, an A in Physics and an A* in an extended project qualification for which I did extensive research in quantum mechanics and furthered my understanding of the double slit experiment exponentially (in both the quantum and classical realm). Currently I am a first year undergraduate at the University Of Bath studying Theoretical Physics.

Hello there! I'm Dorothy Jean Acedo, and I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic math teacher. I absolutely love helping students discover that math isn't just about numbers—it's a world of puzzles and possibilities! My mission is to make our lessons feel less like a chore and more like a fun challenge. We'll use games, real-life examples, and collaborative activities to make even the trickiest topics click. When I'm not teaching, I love to get out into nature for a hike or take photos, which reminds me that the world is full of beautiful patterns, just like math.
