Hello! My name is Emma, and I am a second-year Accounting and Finance student at Lancaster University. I achieved 9 GCSEs, ranging from 7-9, which allowed me to study Chemistry, Economics and Maths. I also gained an A* in my EPQ, which I completed in year 12, giving me crucial skills that I have carried forward to my degree. I have been tutoring for 8 months. During this time, I have helped prepare primary school students for their SATS and gained more confidence with maths in the classroom. I also prepared year 11 and 13 students for their GCSE and A levels by covering content they were unsure of and practising exam techniques. I previously gained experience mentoring GCSE students at my school. I am a student with dyslexia, so I understand the challenges students face in classroom settings. Anyone can be successful, which is why my sessions are student-led, so that they are catered towards each individual's learning style. If you are unsure of this throughout my school career, I have learnt different methods that work for me and would love to pass them on to others so that we can find a technique that works for you. I attended Rugby School, where I completed my GCSEs and A levels, and now I have gone on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University, where my ambition is to become an ACA Chartered Accountant. Having studied Chemistry, Economics and Maths at A level, I offer tutoring for students up to and including year 11 in Maths and Chemistry and then Economics up to and including year 13 students.

Hi! I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Warwick, one of the top universities in the UK. I’ve always had a strong passion for learning and teaching, especially when it comes to Maths and Physics. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate with a score of 41 out of 45, which is equivalent to AAA at A-Level. I scored 7 out of 7 in Physics HL and 6 out of 7 in Maths AA, which is one of the most challenging maths courses in the IB. Before that, I completed my IGCSEs with A* across all subjects. As a tutor, I focus on creating a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor each session to suit the student’s pace and learning style, and I always aim to make lessons as engaging and understandable as possible. Whether your child is aiming for top marks or just needs a bit of extra help to catch up, I’m here to support them every step of the way! I genuinely enjoy helping students unlock their potential, and I’d love the opportunity to help your child do the same. Currently I'm a student at the university of Warwick doing Bachelor's computer science. I attended high school in Dubai in which I completed my IGCSE's and GCSES, as well as International Baccalaureate which is equivalent to A-levels but with 6 subjects instead of 3. My specialization is currently in computer science but I prefer teaching Mathematics and physics. I also really enjoy psychology as well and love to teach that.

Hi! I'm Favour, I have experience tutoring students who are studying English language and Literature for their GCSE's. As a tutor I aim to breakdown questions & lessons to go along with the students' pace. During lessons I use the students interest to channel their learning & I am patient to ensure they get the most of the time. For example I once used a students' sports interest to breakdown the structure question in the AQA language paper 1 question 3. What I love the most about tutoring (apart from spreading knowledge of course) is getting to know, learn and see students develop. I love seeing wonderful personalities and interests come through, so I look forward to meeting you soon! Outside of tutoring, I am involved in marketing communications. In my spare time I like to watch movies, videos on dog grooming, skincare & perfumes, spend time with friends and bake (when I can). I am an effective tutor. I’ve worked with SEN students including students with; dyscalculia, ADHD, dyslexia and autism. Whether you are looking to increase your grade by a little, or a lot I am here to get you to that full potential. I can teach GCSE maths. I work based on the students’ needs and I am very much able to adapt to their preferred learning style. As I am a visual learner myself, I work with students particularly through diagrams, visual aids and in depth examples, drawn on interactive whiteboards as well as analogies to explain concepts required for their curriculum and more importantly, the final exam. Practice exam and past paper questions are key to unlocking the higher grades, and so I always integrate questions throughout the teaching of content during lesson to ensure the student understands and digests what they have learnt properly through application, you will never be short of exam practice in one of my lessons, as that is how the real exam will be like. There is always an open door policy to ask whatever questions you need to, whether that is in or out of lesson time, no question is too big or small. I look forward to guiding you into achieve the academic potential you and I know you are capable of.
