Hi! My name is Maryam. I'm 19 years old and a second-year midwifery student with a passion for healthcare and science. Studying midwifery has helped me appreciate the importance of having a solid understanding of biology as a foundation for anyone wanting to pursue a career in healthcare or related degrees. I tutor GCSE Biology with a focus on helping students build strong foundational knowledge in core topics such as cells, Organisation, Infection and Response, and Bioenergetics. I guide students through exam past paper questions helping them to identify and learn from their mistakes, develop exam technique and strengthen understanding by application of knowledge. Some of my hobbies include going on nature walks, baking and reading. I love spending time with my family and friends. Hello! I’m a passionate science tutor who enjoys helping students build confidence and truly understand Biology and Chemistry. I believe that learning science should feel logical and engaging, not overwhelming. My teaching style is patient, structured, and supportive. I focus on helping students understand concepts step-by-step rather than relying on memorization. This approach helps students think critically, recall information more easily, and perform better in exams. I work with students from different backgrounds and understand that many struggle with anxiety, gaps in foundational knowledge, or low confidence. My goal is to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their abilities. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s needs, learning pace, and academic goals. Above all, I aim to help students feel capable, motivated, and proud of their progress. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, with majors in Microbiology and Biochemistry, completed in 2020. I later obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Biotechnology in 2022, which strengthened my foundation in applied biotechnology, laboratory research, and scientific analysis. I am currently completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Biotechnology, with research-based training in experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific writing. In addition, I obtained a Tutor Training Certificate from the University of Johannesburg during my tutoring tenure (2024–2025), where I tutored Microbiology, gaining formal training in effective teaching, student support, and academic facilitation.

Greetings! My name is Saul, and I am a current undergraduate student on medical leave. I'm an experienced educator, a curious learner, and skilled in various areas of study. I enjoy going into the details, and perceiving the bigger picture, especially combining areas of science and mathematics with philosophy and psychology. This translates to how I provide my teaching; as clearly, explanatory and rigorous as possible. Often, I attempt to work with the student in an engaging and productive manner that allows them to exercise as many levels of thinking as possible to enhance their understanding to the levels required for higher grades. After spending just over half a year working for my GCSEs after moving from The Netherlands, I joined A-Levels to pursue mathematics, further mathematics, physics and philosophy, where I was given the opportunity to tutor and teach a weekly seminar on AI. I spent a few months studying Theoretical Physics at undergraduate, however am now on medical leave. Furthermore, I worked as a private tutor and am now spending my work hours for several tutoring agencies.

I have a degree in Pure Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Greece, an MA in Mathematics Education from Leeds University in the UK and a PGCE in Mathematics from the UK. I have a Qualified Teacher Status to work in UK schools and I have 22 years of work experience in the UK, Greece and Cyprus.
