Hello! I am originally from Italy and have lived in London for the past 7 years. I have a passion for both languages and Maths and I’ve been teaching Maths for 3 years. My students describe me as a really patient person who explains things very clearly in a way that makes sense. I focus on building confidence and nailing exam technique. I attended a language secondary school in Italy, where I studied English, German and French as foreign languages. I then got my BA in Sociology and Politics at Goldsmiths University of London. After that, I trained to be a teacher through Teach First, achieved my QTS and went on to get my PGDE. I have been teaching at a school in Bromley for the past 3 years, and since last year I also took on the role of KS3 Lead within the Maths department, which has allowed me to develop my leadership skills.

Exam board experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR Preferred Age Group: Primary About me: I have completed my PGCE at Leeds Beckett University. I am a qualified teacher and I have more than four years of experience in tutoring students online. I specialise in Maths and English and I have experience preparing students for SATs and 11 plus exams. I tutor online only. Furthermore, I use an adaptive teaching style to cater for all different types of learners (kinaesthetic, visual, auditory). I use different teaching approaches as students learn at different rates, have different needs and learning styles. I adapt my approach depending on the student and their needs. For example, I help students practice answering exam style questions by going through past papers. In addition, I prepare for my sessions using baseline assessments to identify areas they are struggling with. I like involving the student in order to create personalised session plans to meet their needs. Also, I set homework tasks for the students to complete in-between lessons to consolidate their learning using the seneca platform. Usually, I use a "I do, we do and you do" structure for my sessions. This tends to consist of a PowerPoint with interactive activities, videos, games, quizzes and exam questions. Some resources I use include Seneca and Twinkl. I ensure that I recap previous learning through retrieval activity at the start of sessions. I address misconceptions through questioning. Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.
