Hi! My name is Amy and I’m currently studying Maths and Philosophy at the University of Leeds. I am a Maths tutor aiming to help students between KS2 and GCSE level to enjoy and understand Maths. Beyond studying, I have a passion for dancing and love to perform on stage. When I am not dancing, I also love to solve puzzles and riddles. Initially, I attended All Saints Primary School. Then, I went to Greenbank High School and received 11 GCSEs with grades ranging from 7-9. I took a mix of GCSE subjects from Dance and Drama to History and Further Maths. After High School, I attended Runshaw College. I completed A-levels in Maths, Psychology and English Literature and earned grades AAC. I also completed an AS-level in Further Maths and earned a grade C. I am currently completing a BSc Maths and Philosophy honours degree programme at the University of Leeds. I have completed my second year and will hopefully be graduating in the summer of 2026.

I am a qualified Teacher with five years of experience, specialising in Mathematics and Computer Science. I have a proven track record of successfully preparing students for a variety of examinations, including A-Level, Edexcel entrance exams, GCSE, 11+, and private school entry assessments. My teaching approach is designed to make these subjects both engaging and accessible, fostering deep understanding and confidence in my students. I am a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong passion for helping students progress and reach their full potential. With over 2 years of experience working with students of all ages, I enjoy taking on new challenges, setting goals, and creating a supportive environment where learners feel confident and engaged. Outside of tutoring, I love doing henna art, reading crime thriller books, and spending quality time in social activities with family and friends. Building on strong academic performance, I am currently pursuing my studies with a globally recognised professional accounting body. Alongside my education, I have achieved several qualifications and gained 2 years of diverse training and practical experience in my field. With a solid foundation of academic knowledge and hands-on experience, I have gained and showcased my skills, strengthening my expertise while enhancing my communication and interpersonal abilities. I am passionate about continuing to grow in my career and making a positive impact through both my professional work and my interest in tutoring.

I am known by my peers to be a highly enthusiastic, young healthcare student with a positive attitude towards learning. I have a keen interest in helping pupils excel in their studies by making it easier for them to reach their goals through an adaptable teaching style to meet each student’s needs. Besides academia, I am someone who is passionate about learning languages, as well as playing sports like Badminton and playing guitar. I love trying new things and I am always up for a challenge that may come my way. At university, I was a student representative for 2 years, hence I have experience of being a leader.
