Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm 22 years old from the North East. I am currently completing my Masters in Developmental Psychology and have a deep interest in education and teaching. My background in psychology has helped me to gain a deep understanding of how young people learn and how best to explain tricky concepts. In my free time I enjoy reading, pilates and spending time with my dog! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your full potential :) I am currently a Masters student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Developmental Psychology. I am expected to receive a Merit grade. Previous to this, I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam and achieved a 2:1 grade. I am a medical student with A*AA at A-level, including an A* in Biology, and top GCSEs (all 9s in triple sciences, Geography, English Language, and RS). With 2 years of tutoring experience, I combine strong subject knowledge with a supportive approach, helping students not only achieve excellent results but also enjoy the learning process and grow in confidence. I attended Townley Grammar School and its Sixth Form, achieving 9999998877 at GCSE, with grade 9s in all Triple Sciences, English Language, Religious Studies, and Geography. At A-level I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, with an A* in Biology, and I am now studying Medicine at university. Alongside my studies, I have over 2 years’ experience tutoring GCSE English and Maths and mentoring students in Triple Science, supporting them as they prepared for exams. I also led my school’s Science Club, helping to inspire younger students and make science engaging beyond the classroom. In addition, I achieved a Bronze award in the British Biology Olympiad, reflecting both my academic ability and enthusiasm for learning. These experiences have strengthened my subject knowledge and my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, motivate students, and build their confidence.

I am a Computer Science tutor with a passion for helping students understand complex concepts in programming, algorithms, and problem-solving. With a strong background in coding and technology, I enjoy breaking down challenging topics into simpler, more digestible explanations. I also work on personal projects, including building Discord bots, web applications and electronics. My goal is to inspire students to develop a deep understanding of Computer Science and gain confidence in their skills. I completed my A-Levels in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Music Technology while also serving as deputy head student. I am now pursuing a degree in Computer Science at university, where I continue to develop my expertise in programming, artificial intelligence, and software development.
