Hi! I’m an enthusiastic and approachable tutor with a real passion for helping students grow in both knowledge and confidence. Having achieved top results in Biology, Chemistry, and Maths at A-Level, completed an independent research project, and scored highly in the UCAT, I’ve built a strong academic foundation alongside effective learning strategies that I now pass on to my students. Over the past two years, I’ve worked with a range of learners at both GCSE and A-Level, tailoring my approach to suit different goals and learning styles. In my lessons, I focus on making learning structured yet engaging, using clear breakdowns of tricky topics, progress checks to track understanding, and step-by-step guidance through exam questions. My academic journey began at the top grammar school in West Yorkshire, which instilled in me a rigorous approach to learning. This strong start led to me attending the most highly-regarded college in the area for my advanced studies. I am now in my first year, passionately pursuing an MPharm degree, a field where I look forward to applying my growing knowledge and making a meaningful impact.

I'm Ben and have an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Chemistry. I have always loved learning about the sciences as they are so applicable to the world around us. I believe that every student should have positive learning experiences in the sciences. I have over two years' experience in tutoring A-Level/GCSE Maths and Science. Furthermore, I have achieved an A* grade in every A-Level subject and a grade 9 in every GCSE subject that I offer. I have invaluable knowledge of exam board specifications, how to best prepare for upcoming examinations, and how to secure those top grades. Additionally, I am passionate about child psychology and have read extensively on the subject to deepen my understanding of how children learn.
