Hello, I’m George, a qualified and experienced Science teacher specialising in Biology. I began teaching in a secondary school and sixth form in 2020 and have more than 2000 hours of teaching experience and have taught hundreds of students across KS3, GCSE, and A-level, helping them achieve real progress and confidence in their science studies. My passion for teaching began during a volunteer placement in Ghana in 2016, where I taught English and helped coach local sports teams, seeing first-hand the transformative power of education. I later supported first-year university students as a Peer Assisted Study Leader at the University of Bristol, further developing my skills in guiding students to achieve their potential. I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Secondary Science from the University of Buckingham. Further to this I also have other experience in coaching and mentoring roles. In 2016, I volunteered for 6 weeks in a primary school in Accra, Ghana. My primary role was teaching English to students, but given that I have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and level 1 qualified rugby coach, I also helped to introduce organised sport in the school and also coached local men's rugby team, the Dansoman Hurricanes.
