Hi! I'm Olivia and I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. I chose this degree as I'm passionate about Maths and Physics, taking both up to Advanced Higher level while at secondary school. I'm focused right now on tutoring up to GCSE level or equivalent. I have experience tutoring up to this level in both Maths and Physics through a programme led by my university. I also have experience working with younger children as a football coach to girls aged 5-9 at Queens Ladies and Girls Football Club. Outside of my studies I enjoy running, travelling and reading to name just a few interests. In terms of lessons, I tend to tailor each lesson and teaching method to each pupil. I mostly use worksheets to reinforce knowledge and build students' confidence in their chosen subject. I will also set quizzes prior to each lesson for the student to complete to allow me to understand how they have progressed since the last lesson. I am a 4th year Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. Since beginning my studies, I have developed my analytical and problem-solving skills studying subjects such as thermodynamics, programming, structural mechanics and dynamics to name but a few. Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh

I am a Maths teacher with 3 years of experience. I studied Mathematics at the University of Reading, and earned my PGCE there too. I have worked with 3 GCSE classes to achieve their required grades in Mathematics and Numeracy. I am also able to teach A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, and have worked with one AS level class on their applied work in these areas. I studied BSc Mathematics at the University of Reading and achieved a 2:1 in 2021. I then went on to complete my PGCE in Secondary Education at the same university. I have completed a module at The Open University for my Masters in Education and will be completing the final module in the academic year 2026/27.

Hello! I'm Ali. I'm in my third year at the University of Edinburgh, studying English Literature. Having achieved almost 100% in my A level and GCSE English Lit/Lang courses, my goal as a tutor is not only to improve your grades, but provide you with the techniques that beat the system.
