My name is Santosh Gopalan, an I am a graduate from the University of Surrey with an Honours degree in Economics. As a friendly and approachable tutor, I am passionate bout helping students not just understand maths, but genuinely enjoy it. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can excel - my goal is to build confidence alongside competence, ensuring my students are equipped to achieve the top grades. I have studied GCSE Maths and achieved grade 8. I have also studied A-Level Maths and achieved grade A. I have extensive knowledge of the AQA, Pearson Edexcel and OCR exam boards for both GCSE and A-Level maths. I am a graduate from the University of Surrey that has an Honor's degree in Economics.

I achieved A* in Economics and A's in Biology and Chemistry in my recent A-levels. Unlike typical tutors, I've been in the student's shoes, balancing A-levels, a social life, and university applications. As a gap year student aspiring to study medicine, I'm here to guide you through this challenging journey. In Year 12, I faced initial struggles, earning E, D, and C grades in Economics, Chemistry, and Biology. But within 8 months, I transformed my grades in economics achieving one of the highest marks in the country. As a student I've overcome the same roadblocks, revision hardships, and academic pressures as you. Top grades require more than just content knowledge; they demand effective hard work. Luck plays a role, but it's essentially a mathematical probability principle. With strategic effort, you can tilt the odds in your favour, no matter what challenges come your way. My tutoring sessions are personalised to each student's needs. To ensure the most effective guidance, I ask students to provide specific instructions for our sessions. This way, I can tailor my approach . My tutoring philosophy is based on a series of books / research paper i have read on educational neurosciences of how to learn most effectively which i personally implemented thus i know work for the average student . I have tutored for over 1000 hours so far - testimonials available on request . I accommodate the students as much as possible . Spaces are available but they are limited Achieved A* , A , A in alevels in 2023 in Economics , Biology , Chemistry respectively. As a student I know the struggles of taking some of the hardest alevels and balancing the workload that comes with them , I also took GCSEs in 2021 and received 12 GSCES at 9-7 grades .

I am a Qualified Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students of all levels. Experience with: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, GCSE Maths Exam Prep, Special Need,11+ ,13+ Exam Board Experience: I can work with any exam board. Edexcel, AQA, OCR (most material is common to all exam boards). I am currently working as a Mathematics teacher at a school in the U.K. In my previous roles, I taught mathematics and coding. I have also tutored students at various levels, from elementary school to college. I am very well aware of the Mathematics curriculum and always look for new and engaging ways to teach it. I am passionate about helping students learn and committed to providing them with the best possible education. I am proficient in English I hold a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Mathematics & Computer Science with Honors. I also hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mathematics & Computer Science with Honors. I am a highly motivated and skilled Teacher with a strong academic background. I have increased my knowledge through experiences with top law firms to supporting patients in healthcare areas which has allowed me to strengthen my communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain things clearly. I’ve also helped several students improve their understanding of subjects and grow in confidence with their learning. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs.
