I achieved top A-level results, including the highest mark in Europe in Pure Maths in 2022, and I’ve continued to perform at a high level in my degree. I completed my secondary education at Apostolos Markos Lyceum in Cyprus, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science. During my final year, I achieved first place in the 2022 Pancyprian Mathematics Competition, a national-level award recognising top mathematical ability. I then completed A-levels in Pure Mathematics, earning the highest mark in Europe in A-level Pure Mathematics. I am currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, one of the UK’s top universities. I have just completed my first year with a first-class overall mark of 82.583%, excelling in both theoretical and applied mathematics modules. My university coursework has further deepened my understanding of algebra, calculus, statistics, and logical problem solving. This background has given me the tools and confidence to support students at GCSE and A-level, particularly in Maths, and I am passionate about sharing that knowledge in a clear, structured way.

Currently I am a teacher of Mathematics for secondary education, and I am also teaching adults as part of their CPD. When I am teaching, I use creative and critical thinking techniques to help my students to acquire in-depth understanding of fundamental concepts of mathematics. Part of my teaching consists of games, quizzes and other creative and fun activities that aim to make teaching and learning easier and more enjoyable. I have a Qualified Teacher Status to work in UK schools and I have 22 years of work experience in the UK, Greece and Cyprus.

Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. I use a variety of methods so you won't get bored and I am always happy to answer questions and re-explain things. There's no such thing as a silly question!
