Hi! My name is Fariha Delwer and I’m a medical student at Queen’s University Belfast with a real enthusiasm for teaching and helping others learn. I have experience tutoring GCSE Science and A-Level Chemistry, and I enjoy making tricky concepts simple and approachable. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, whether that’s building confidence in the basics or developing exam techniques for top grades. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and motivated to succeed. I am currently studying Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast, where I continue to build on my strong academic background in science. At A-level I studied at Bancroft's doing Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies and an EPQ, achieving top grades (A* A* A) that reflect my commitment and ability in these subjects. At GCSEs I went to Southend High School for Girls, where I achieved nine 9s. Alongside my degree, I have developed teaching experience by tutoring GCSE Science and A-Level Chemistry, where I have learned how to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt my approach to suit different learning styles. My education has not only given me subject knowledge but also strong communication and problem-solving skills that I bring to every tutoring session.

Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for exams, or simply gaining more confidence in Maths or Computer Science, my goal is always to create a calm and encouraging learning environment where progress feels achievable. I have a strong background in both Maths and Computer Science, and I have worked with students across a range of ages and learning styles. My experience includes tutoring primary, secondary, and adult learners, helping them improve their understanding of key concepts as well as their confidence in approaching challenging topics. I have supported students with curriculum learning, homework support, and exam preparation, particularly in Maths and Computer Science. Through tutoring, I’ve worked with learners who needed help strengthening foundations as well as students aiming to reach top grades. My experience across different age groups allows me to adjust my teaching approach depending on the student. For younger learners, I focus on building strong fundamentals and making lessons engaging. I’m Maya Darvis, an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths and Science tutor I love helping students understand concepts clearly and confidently by making lessons engaging, interactive, and easy to follow. I simplify challenging topics using real-life examples, visual explanations, and step-by-step guidance. I believe every student can succeed with the right support and encouragement, and I always create a comfortable and motivating learning environment. Outside of teaching, I enjoy singing and watching K-dramas, which keep me creative and energized. I hold a Bachelor’s Honours degree in Chemistry and a TEFL certification, giving me a strong foundation in science, analytical thinking, and effective teaching strategies. I’m a 19-year-old recent sixth form graduate (2025) who studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I’m passionate about teaching and helping students build confidence in their learning. I currently study Medicine abroad and enjoy supporting others to reach their academic goals. I completed my A-levels in 2025, studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, and was fortunate to gain a place to study Medicine, which I am currently pursuing abroad. At GCSE, I studied Triple Science, Classics, DT, Geography and Spanish. I really enjoy education and look forward to helping others achieve success in their studies.
