Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I’d describe myself as calm, composed, and confident—and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks to help others rise to the top of their academics. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. Hey I am Si Yeun! I'm a PhD student researching heterogeneous catalysts, and I have 1 year of experience tutoring Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics for GCSE and below students. Having had some tutoring myself during my GCSE period, I know how much of a nerve-wracking experience it is for both students and parents. My name is Samhita Andhavarapu and I'm a 1st year med student studying abroad! I did Maths, Chemistry and Biology at A-level I will be teaching A-Level Maths and Biology I have some experience in teaching both subjects when I used to mentor some students in high school with GCSE maths and Biology I am determined to prepare well before the class. Therefore, I will try to adapt my teaching style to the students needs and based on the best way that they learn. I got A's in both subjects at A-Level I got A's in Maths and Biology at A-Level. I received a 7 in GCSE Biology and a 9 in GCSE Maths and Further Maths. As I am now studying medicine at university I feel like my level of knowledge for Biology and Maths is strong. However, if I do not know something I will be prepared to learn and then help my student understand the concept of the topic.
