Hello there! Hope you are well. My name is Joshua Hailey and my pronouns are he/him. I have been an online tutor for around three years, and I hope this 'About Me' section gives you an insight into who I am and my teaching style. I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. In September 2024 I am undertaking a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over two years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. I am currently a second year physics student at the University of Manchester. At A Level I achieved 3 A*s in Physics, Mathematics, and History, and I also achieved a grade 9 in Physics at GCSE level. My sessions are tailored towards GCSE and A Level Physics students, and are aimed at improving exam performance while also improving the student's understanding of the subject beyond simply memorising equations. I understand that every student's goals are different, and my lessons reflect this - if one method of teaching is not proving effective for a student I am able to adapt my lessons to be structured in a way that resonates with them specifically. My lessons are applicable to every exam board, but I have the most experience with the AQA specification at GCSE level, and the OCR specification at A Level. At A Level, I attained 3 A*s in Physics, Mathematics, and History. At GCSE I achieved a grade 9 in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, and English Language. I achieved a grade 8 in Chemistry, Biology, English Literature, and History, and a grade 6 in Spanish. Additionally, I accomplished the highest total score in my sixth form for A Level Physics.

Hi! I come from Spain and I was born in New York, although I have been living in England since the age of three. I am a creative and passionate person, with my hobbies including anything related to the arts, dance, and music. I also enjoy writing poetry and being in nature.
