Hi! My name is Princess Joy Granado, and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher with over four years of experience teaching English. I have had the opportunity to teach in both private and public schools, which allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds and adapt my teaching strategies to meet their varied needs. I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. My academic journey strengthened my mastery of the English language and further nurtured my passion for teaching. This achievement has shaped me into a dedicated, reflective, and effective educator. Currently, I teach English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Oral Communication in Context, and Practical Research 1 to Grade 11 students. I graduated with a degree in Secondary Education, major in English, which provided me with a strong foundation in teaching methods, linguistics, and literature. I also hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, which enhanced my ability to teach English to learners from diverse backgrounds and proficiency levels. I am a public school teacher with several years of teaching experience, currently handling Grade 11 students. I teach English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Oral Communication in Context, and Practical Research 1. Through these subjects, I help students develop strong communication skills, academic writing competence, critical thinking, and research abilities essential for higher education and future careers. I truly enjoy teaching English because it allows us to communicate with the world. In my class, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. I am a Masters degree from Leeds Conservatoire and a BA from The University of Birmingham. I have 5 years of experience tutoring, offering tutoring in English Literature, Language and Drama from KS3 to A Level. I am a motived and hardworking person with a love for teaching and helping students to reach their full potential. I received a MA with Merit in Musical Theatre Company from Leeds Conservatoire and I have a 2:1 in BA Drama and Theatre Arts from the University of Birmingham. Before studying at university I attended Wycombe High School for 6th Form achieve AAB in English, History and Drama. As well as a B in AS Level 3 Core Maths. I attended Claires Court school for my KS3 and GCSE education. Achieving 1 8, 3 7s, 4 6s and 2 5s.

At A-Level, I studied Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry, achieving high grades in all three. Alongside my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on antibiotic resistance, an area of real scientific relevance. This independent research project developed my ability to think critically, evaluate complex information, and communicate ideas in a clear, structured way—skills that are essential for academic success and effective exam technique. I am currently a medical student, a highly competitive course that reflects both my academic ability and commitment to excellence. Studying medicine has further strengthened my understanding of science at a deeper level, while also training me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps—an approach I use directly in my tutoring to help students understand, retain, and apply what they learn with confidence.
