Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. I am currently studying Chemical Engineering at the University of Surrey. I can teach up to A-Level Maths. I have exam board experience for Edexcel GCSE Maths and OCR B MEI A-Level Maths. I am fluent in both English and Tamil. I am looking to teach anyone of all ages! I am only familiar with the English Curriculum (OCR, Edexcel, and AQA). I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels at Langley Grammar School and achieved an 8 in Maths at GSCE and a C in Maths at A-Level (5 marks off from a B).
