I am a marketing professional with a passion for the English language, literature, and other humanities. My love for English started at a young age and continues. I believe that English is not just a tool for communication but a beautiful art form that can inspire, educate, and entertain. Currently studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield, I am a dedicated Maths and Physics tutor, with around an 2-3 years total experience in person and online, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades. My approach combines the structured discipline of established learning centres, such as Kumon (where I was a tutor for more than 2 years) and the flexible touch of indepedent 1 on 1 tutoring. I achieved a Grade 9 in Maths and all Sciences in my GCSEs and got an A in Physics at A level. I have also had experience tutoring 11+ briefly, and have passed the 11+ myself in 2017. As a student who completed his GCSE exams 3 years ago, I can provide tailored advice and the most up-to-date tips and tricks to help students flourish and achieve top marks. I went to a selective state-grammar school based on 11+ scores called Lawrence Sheriff School for all of my secondary school years and 6th form. I completed my GCSEs and A-Levels here achieving almost all A*/A scores in every subject. Currently, I am at University studying (MEng) Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

Hi! I'm Joshua, Physics graduate, with degrees from Leicester and UCL. I'm passionate about making maths and physics accessible and exciting. I've been tutoring GCSE and A-Level students for several years, and what I love most is seeing that "aha!" moment when a challenging concept finally clicks. I remember struggling with certain topics myself du I graduated with First Class Honours in Physics from the University of Leicester, consistently scoring 80-90+% and winning the Departmental Prize for academic excellence. I recently completed my MSc in Risk and Disaster Science at UCL with distinction. My professional experience includes working with Planet Labs on satellite climate analysis, collaborating with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction on heat wave research, and presenting findings at prestigious conferences including the Royal Meteorological Society and Royal Aeronautical Society. I'm also a committee member at the Institute of Physics Environmental Physics Group. This real-world experience means I can show you why what you're learning actually matters, from satellite navigation to climate science applications.
