I'm Tilly, and I'm a second-year medical student at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for over three years now and love helping students in maths, science and for medical school admissions tests. I hope to be a friendly, approachable and enthusiastic tutor assisting students in their learning by helping them both understand topics deeply and enjoy their learning as much as possible. I studied at Putney High School, where I achieved all 9s at GCSE and A* in biology, chemistry, maths, and my EPQ. However, I am now a second-year medical student at Oxford University. I have been tutoring for 3 years and really enjoy helping students to reach their fullest potential.

Now, with over 2 years experience of tutoring under my belt, I feel that teaching is the right career path for me. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and will put in all my effort to help you improve. I am currently studying towards a Masters in Astrophysics at UCL and achieved top grades at GCSE and A-level. I have experience in senior maths and physics challenges, entrance exams for universities and general exam technique and problem solving. In my free time, I mainly enjoy playing table tennis, however video games, drawing, learning languages (French at the moment) as well as TV/anime also interest me. I am originally from Lebanon. Qualifications: A-Level: A*A*AA in Maths, Physics, Further Maths and Chemistry. GCSE: 9,9,8 in Maths, Chemistry and Physics respectively.

I have completed my GCSEs, A - Levels and Bachelor's degree with top grades and have experience teaching mathematics from primary to GCSE level. My approach is all about building the confidence of my pupils. I focus on exam preparation in every lesson so the student understands what to expect in the real exams as well as dedicating sessions to tackle worded problems and showing the best techniques to solve them. My easy and friendly tutoring style allows me to adapt to the student's need on an individual basis from pupil to pupil. Lots of practice material and notes available to help build exam techniques. I graduated with a BSc (Hons) Economics from the University of Warwick, achieving a 2:1. My degree included quantitatively intensive modules such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Money & Banking, and Environmental Economics, all of which strengthened my mathematical reasoning, statistical analysis, and problem-solving skills. Before university, I completed A-Levels in Mathematics (A*), Economics (A), and Physics (A), building a strong foundation in algebra, calculus, mechanics, and mathematical modelling. At GCSE level, I earned high grades including an 8 in Mathematics. My academic background has equipped me with a strong specialisation in quantitative analysis, applied mathematics, and statistical methods, skills that directly support my ability to teach mathematical concepts clearly and effectively.

I recently graduated from Newcastle University with a Masters in Maths and Stats, and I’ve always enjoyed helping others with maths. Whether it’s supporting friends through GCSEs, A-Levels, or university work, or helping my younger brother prepare for his GCSEs, I love making tricky topics easier to understand. I completed my GCSEs at St Bede's Catholic High School in Ormskirk, my A-Levels at Runshaw College in Leyland, and completed my Masters in Maths and Stats at Newcastle University in which I achieved a first and was given an award for my fourth year research project. I am comfortable and experienced in GCSE maths, A-Level maths, and beyond.
