Despite not having a lesson for a long time, we got back into it. Some talking before learning about the alphabet. She made sure I knew how to pronounce difficult sounds and took me through what we would be doing.

Hello! My name is Hanfa, I'm an undergraduate student in mechanical engineering at the University of Manchester. I enjoy anything practical and in reference to logic and problem solving, and for that reason, maths and physics have always been my subjects! I enjoy anything that requires precision, more specifically knitting, henna, and drawing. You soon learn Biology also requires imagination as well as English, it's necessary to envision processes well in order to write an account on them, and my talent in imaginative writing is indeed a helping hand! And always remember: Take pride in tuition, as you'd take pride in success I studied at an all girls Grammar school for 5 years where I completed my GCSEs. I next excelled on to Loreto College, where I took Biology Maths and Physics for A-levels, I am now studying Mechanical Engineering at the prestige University of Manchester!

Hello! I’m Harshini Mahesh Kumar, a dedicated STEM educator passionate about helping students build confidence, achieve academic success, and develop a genuine love for learning. With extensive experience teaching and tutoring Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology across GCSE and A-Level, I create personalised lessons tailored to each student’s learning style, strengths, and academic goals. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for examinations, or strengthen their understanding of core concepts, I provide structured guidance and continuous support every step of the way. I specialise in explaining complex concepts in a clear, engaging, and practical manner, helping students develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills while building a deeper understanding of STEM subjects. I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they are supported, challenged, and encouraged in the right way. My lessons are interactive, positive, and designed to build both knowledge and confidence, creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, think independently, and achieve their full potential. If you’re looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and committed tutor who is passionate about helping students excel in STEM subjects, I’d be delighted to support your learning journey. I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Molecular Biotechnology from the University of Hertfordshire, where I developed advanced knowledge in molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, protein science, and bioinformatics. My studies provided extensive practical experience in laboratory techniques, research methodologies, recombinant DNA technology, next-generation sequencing, and genomics, equipping me with strong analytical and scientific research skills. I previously completed a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Biotechnology. This programme established a solid foundation in biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology, and laboratory practices while strengthening my problem-solving, critical thinking, and scientific communication abilities through research projects and practical laboratory work. Alongside my academic qualifications, I have gained valuable experience supporting scientific research and delivering high-quality STEM education. These opportunities have enabled me to apply my scientific knowledge in both research and teaching, further developing my analytical, organisational, and communication skills. My educational journey has equipped me with a strong scientific foundation, a commitment to continuous learning, and a passion for making complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for students.
Ann A.
Hi! I’m Ann — a second-year medical student who loves painting, reading, and (recently) horse riding. I’m someone who genuinely enjoys learning new things, but I also understand how tough studying can feel when you’re stuck, stressed, or unsure where to start. That’s a huge part of why I tutor — I want to make learning feel lighter, clearer, and way less overwhelming. I’m not the type of tutor who just reads off a screen or throws information at you. I like to explain things in a simple, friendly way, break topics down into small steps, and make sure you actually understand the idea, not just memorise it. Everyone learns differently, so I always adjust the pace and style to whatever works best for you. If you’re someone who loses motivation, gets anxious about exams, or feels like certain subjects just “don’t make sense,” don’t worry — I’ve been there too. We’ll work through it together until you feel confident. I’m patient, supportive, and I’ll never make you feel bad for not knowing something. That’s literally what I’m here for. I really want my students to feel comfortable, motivated, and proud of themselves. I love seeing someone go from “I don’t get this at all” to “wait… that actually makes sense now!” It’s the best part of tutoring. If you’re looking for someone who will help you learn in a relaxed, encouraging way, I’d love to work with you. Let’s make studying feel manageable — and maybe even enjoyable. I achieved all A* in chemistry, biology and maths at GCSEs, and an A in biology for A-level through my time as a student I developed effective study techniques, which I use to support students in their learning. I am now a second year medical student.

Hi! My name is Dipasha and I’m currently a final year Pharmacology student at Queen Mary University of London, with a strong interest in academic research and medicine. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing tennis and badminton. I also love to explore different places in London and listen to music! I really enjoy teaching, and I look forward to supporting students to reach their goals :) I am currently in my final year studying BSc Pharmacology and Innovative Therapeutics at Queen Mary University of London, where I am about to graduate with a first class degree. Prior to this, I completed my A-levels, where I built a strong academic foundation in science and developed effective study and exam techniques. I also performed very well at GCSE level, which reflects my academic ability and strong understanding of core subjects. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience supporting other students with their learning, helping to break down complex topics and build confidence, which has strengthened both my communication skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles.
