I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status. I am a university student studying Biomedical science in Nottingham. I enjoy studying Biology and chemistry. I will be tutoring Secondary biology and chemistry and also GCSE which I achieved A*s (8) in. I am passionate about studying and enjoy teaching others. I studied Biology and chemistry at Alevel as well as Maths. In GCSE I achieved A*s in both Chemistry and biology and I am currently studying Biomedical science at university, in my in my third year (out of four). I am currently achieving high marks at university and got a 1st overall last year so hoping to keep that up this year. I will be graduating in 2027 and hopefully go on to do a lot more work within Biology and chemistry. I am constantly learning new topics at university so I feel my knowledge is very good and I would have a good understanding about the biology and chemistry topics that students will query about.

My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning space where students feel comfortable, and where learning is both fun and rewarding. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, where I developed strong problem-solving skills and discovered my passion for teaching while working as a part-time tutor. Hello! My name is Blessy and I am currently a third-year medical student with over six years of tutoring experience, including three years on the GoStudent platform. Outside of academics, I enjoy going to the gym, watching films and crocheting in my spare time. Alongside tutoring, I also lead teaching sessions for other medical students at my university, which has strengthened my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles. I take a patient and supportive approach and am particularly experienced in working with students who may feel shy, lack confidence or struggle with focus, helping them feel more comfortable and engaged in their learning!
