My name is Santosh Gopalan, an I am a graduate from the University of Surrey with an Honours degree in Economics. As a friendly and approachable tutor, I am passionate bout helping students not just understand maths, but genuinely enjoy it. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can excel - my goal is to build confidence alongside competence, ensuring my students are equipped to achieve the top grades. I have studied GCSE Maths and achieved grade 8. I have also studied A-Level Maths and achieved grade A. I am currently a Business & Management student at Royal Holloway, University of London. Aside from academics, my interests widely range from music, dance, sports, and reading. When I find interest in something, I try to learn and teach myself as I have with dance and the Korean language. I have high expectations for myself and encourage my students to do the same for themselves. I am also told to have a very easy going personality so I have a great rapport with my students and they find me easy to communicate with and ask me questions. Alongside my A-Levels, I have completed an EPQ in which I earned a B. The question of my research was about meditation, its benefits, and whether it should be made obligatory in school settings. It included investigating, collecting, and summarising primary data and as well as an initiation to implement meditation in my school as part of the well-being program. It gave good results and also spread awareness of this very beneficial practice. Other than that, I have attended courses on leadership as well.
