George B.
Hello, I’m George, a qualified and experienced Science teacher specialising in Biology. I began teaching in a secondary school and sixth form in 2020 and have more than 2000 hours of teaching experience and have taught hundreds of students across KS3, GCSE, and A-level, helping them achieve real progress and confidence in their science studies. My passion for teaching began during a volunteer placement in Ghana in 2016, where I taught English and helped coach local sports teams, seeing first-hand the transformative power of education. I later supported first-year university students as a Peer Assisted Study Leader at the University of Bristol, further developing my skills in guiding students to achieve their potential. I hold a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Bristol and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Secondary Science from the University of Buckingham. Through my university studies, I have not only gained expert science subject knowledge but I also have an excellent understanding of the latest teaching methods to help facilitate learning and, ultimately, help pupils achieve their goals. Beyond the classroom, I have been involved in conservation projects in Sri Lanka and Costa Rica, experiences that have deepened my enthusiasm for Biology and environmental studies — knowledge I bring into my lessons to inspire students. As a tutor, I tailor each session to the individual needs of the student, combining engaging activities with exam-focused strategies. I emphasise exam technique, including effective question approaches and time management, to ensure students are confident and fully prepared for assessments. My lessons are interactive, personalised, and designed to build both understanding and results. With my classroom experience, subject expertise, and commitment to student success, I offer more than typical tutoring — I bring a teacher’s insight and proven methods to help you excel in Biology. As a secondary school pupil myself I achieved excellent results, obtaining 12 GCSES all graded A or A*, including Maths & English, with A*'s in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. At A-level I then went on to study Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, Religious Education and also achieved an AS level qualification in Critical thinking. Following this, I attended the University of Bristol, a Russel Group university which is renowned for its world-leading research and academic excellence. Here, I achieved my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences. Following this, I began working towards achieving qualified teacher status and took my first post as a teacher of Science at a secondary school in 2020. I attended the university of Buckingham and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a focus on Science in order to become a qualified teacher. Through my university studies, I have not only gained expert science subject knowledge but I also have an excellent understanding of the latest teaching methods to help facilitate learning and, ultimately, help pupils achieve their goals. Further to this I also have other experience in coaching and mentoring roles. In 2016, I volunteered for 6 weeks in a primary school in Accra, Ghana. My primary role was teaching English to students, but given that I have achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and level 1 qualified rugby coach, I also helped to introduce organised sport in the school and also coached local men's rugby team, the Dansoman Hurricanes.

Hello! I’m Kyrie Zalyn, an educator with a strong foundation in Psychology and over five years of teaching experience for both English and Math. What drives me as a teacher is my passion for helping students realize their full potential—academically and personally. My approach blends structure with creativity, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable. With a background in psychology, I understand how students think, learn, and stay motivated. I use that knowledge to design lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each learner’s pace and personality. Whether it’s refining communication skills or solving complex equations, I aim to create a space where students feel confident, curious, and capable. Beyond teaching, I’m a professional chess master and a language enthusiast—constantly learning, just like my students. I believe that the best classrooms are built on connection, encouragement, and growth, and I strive to bring that energy into every session. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. I’m also a certified TEFL teacher with over five years of experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and learning levels. In addition to teaching, I’ve led teams as a chess athlete and coach with a title of "Woman National Master" in the field of chess. Also, I continue to grow by exploring new languages and learning strategies. I believe in creating a classroom where students feel supported, understood, and inspired to reach their goals—one lesson at a time.

Hello! My name is Elyn and I am studying Product Design Engineering at the University of Liverpool as a first year undergraduate. I have been a tutor for around a year and half teaching 14-16 year olds and prepping students for their GCSEs. I have a great fondness for teaching, as education has always been a big aspect of my life. I love learning and encouraging others to learn STEM in a more intriguing way. I will be open to teaching GCSE and A level economics, maths and physics. Other facts about me is that I scrapbook, I indulge in art as a creative outlet and competed in the Industrial Cadets Gold project during Year 12. I completed my GCSEs at Cecil Jones Academy and gained 9-5s in: design & technology, Mandarin, maths, chemistry, biology, physics, business, English literature, English language, geography and religious studies. I finished my A levels at Greensward Academy and gained: A at economics, B in maths and C in physics. I am a dedicated student of Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a strong passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps—an approach I bring into my tutoring sessions. Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in sports including football, badminton, snooker, and golf. I believe that the discipline and strategic thinking gained from sports complement my academic pursuits and enhance my ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. I'm enthusiastic about helping learners build confidence and achieve their goals in a supportive and engaging environment. I am currently studying Mathematics and Actuarial Science at the University of Southampton, where I am continuing to deepen my understanding of mathematical theory, statistical analysis, and their real-world applications. This degree is further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my tutoring sessions. Before university, I completed my A Levels at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College, achieving an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry—subjects I now tutor. My success in these subjects has given me the confidence and insight to support students in mastering challenging concepts and developing effective exam strategies. I completed my GCSEs at Pinner High School, earning 11 GCSEs at grades 9 to 7, including top marks in Maths and the Sciences. This academic foundation has given me a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the expectations of exam boards. Having recently been through the school and sixth form system myself, I am well placed to relate to students and provide guidance that is both up-to-date and practical. I aim to create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle their weaknesses, and build confidence in their abilities.
