In English, I help students build strong communication skills with creative and practical activities. In Science, I simplify complex concepts to make them exciting and easy to understand. My goal is to nurture curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning in a supportive and encouraging environment. I graduated from Holy Cross of Davao College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education, major in English. I have over 8 years of teaching experience, working with both children and adults in classroom and online settings. My experience includes junior high school teaching, face-to-face classes, and working with various ESL companies. I combine clear instruction, creativity, and practical activities to make English and Science engaging and easy to understand.

Hi! I’m Ranie Pornela, a passionate Math teacher I love helping students understand and enjoy mathematics by connecting lessons to real-life situations and practical applications. My goal is to make math clear, engaging, and useful through step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and hands-on problem solving. I want every student to feel more confident and actually enjoy doing math after our lessons. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching movies, traveling to new places, and spending time with my dogs—they’re my favorite way to relax and recharge! I am a Licensed Mechanical Engineer and currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. I also hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. With my engineering background and teaching experience, I am able to explain complex math concepts in a clear, patient, and student-friendly way, helping learners build both understanding and confidence

As a current university student, I understand the challenges of academic work and exams. I hope to instil resilience and confidence in students by offering clear explanations, practical study strategies and focused support tailored to each students goals. My sessions are structured but friendly and help students feel comfortable whilst making real progress. I graduated Secondary School with 3 A Levels: English Literature (A*), Politics and Government (A*), History of Art (A) and and Extended Project Qualification (A). I am currently a student of the Dual BA Program between Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University meaning I am working on two BA degrees (one from each institution) simultaneously over four years. Both degrees are in English Literature but I hope to minor in History of Art for my Columbia degree.
