I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. Last, but not least, I enjoy all forms of sugar - especially cake! Aside from my degree, I am qualified to teach TEFL. I really enjoy working with those who don't have English as a first language. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. Furthermore, I am qualified to do proofreading. This fits in well with teaching English. I also have a certificate in Counselling Skills.

I have over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience, working with 11+ and GCSE students. I also have specific experience helping students who were previously struggling or underperforming to move from failing grades to top grades - not just passing - through clear, structured, and targeted teaching. I am currently studying Law with Politics at undergraduate level, continuing to develop strong analytical, evaluative, and written communication skills. Experience: Alongside my academic studies, I have developed over three years of tutoring and mentoring experience. I have worked with 11+ students as well as GCSE learners, helping students build confidence, improve exam technique, and achieve strong academic progress. I'm Ben and have an MSci and BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Chemistry. I have always loved learning about the sciences as they are so applicable to the world around us. I believe that every student should have positive learning experiences in the sciences. I have over two years' experience in tutoring A-Level/GCSE Maths and Science. Furthermore, I have achieved an A* grade in every A-Level subject and a grade 9 in every GCSE subject that I offer. I have invaluable knowledge of exam board specifications, how to best prepare for upcoming examinations, and how to secure those top grades.
