Hello! My name is Aminah, and I’m an Accounting and Finance student at Aston University with a strong academic background in Maths and a passion for helping students feel more confident and capable in the subject. I understand that every student has a different learning style, which is why I adapt my teaching methods to suit their individual needs. Whether you’re struggling with basic concepts or aiming for top grades, I create lessons that are structured, supportive, and easy to follow — always encouraging questions and active participation. Having recently gone through the exam process myself, I understand the challenges that KS1 to GCSE students face, and I’m well-equipped to guide them with effective study techniques, structured support, and encouragement. My academic journey has given me a strong foundation in maths and a clear sense of how to explain concepts in a way that is simple, engaging, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I am currently a student studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I passed A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science with an A,B,B respectively. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing basketball and practicing my violin and piano. I've also participated many workshops to do with communication which has increased my public speaking and collaboration skills. For secondary school I attended King Edwards VI Handsworth Grammar School for Boys. I left with 11 GCSE's with an 8 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies and a 7 in English Literature and Language, French and Business. For Sixth Form I attended the University of Birmingham School for 2 years. I left with an A,B,B in Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science respectively.

I have been tutoring online since April 2018, predominantly helping overseas students learn English as a foreign language. Curriculum has ranged from Oxford Reading Tree to Reach, using a variety of subjects to help their learning process. Having been diagnosed with severe dyslexia when I was young, I have always had an affinity with those who struggle with education, and have had to develop my own way to learn efficiently, and use this experience to help others. I also hold an HND in music production, and have previously tutored 9 to 15 year olds Djing and music production.
