My name is Alinah Mampiti Thakhuli, and I am a passionate, hardworking, and dedicated university student currently completing my final year of a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry at North-West University. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, which have strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way. Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. I have gained valuable experience tutoring Mathematics and enjoy helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve their academic goals. Hi there! I am a third year biomedical sciences student keen on utilising my skills to help others. I love baking in my free time, which helps me wind down. It also helps that I can give cute little treats that I make to friends and family. As a current university student, I understand the challenges of balancing coursework, revision and exams and I know it can be a lot to handle. However, I reassure you that I will be there to help you through it all. I attended primary school in England. I moved to Scotland to complete my Highers where I did four Highers and graduated with a prize in Higher Chemistry. I went St Paul's RC in Dundee. Currently, I go to the University of Dundee where I am pursuing a Biomedical Sciences degree. I have received multiple excellence awards in the triple science subjects which include chemistry, physics and biology. I know I wanted to further study these subjects hence I am doing biomed at University.

Hello! My name is Ruth, and I am a dedicated tutor with over five years of teaching and tutoring experience. What started as a hobby while I was at university has grown into a genuine passion for helping students learn and succeed. I believe that every student has a unique learning style, and I aim to adapt my approach to suit each individual's needs. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, develop their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. I studied Neuroscience at the University of Bristol and began tutoring GCSE Science before progressing to A-level Biology as I gained confidence and experience. I have also tutored Maths. More recently, I spent a year working as a teaching assistant in a primary school, where I gained valuable experience supporting younger children. My varied journey has allowed me to develop a broad range of teaching experience, from one-to-one sessions to small-group interventions, including supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
