Hi! My name is Mia and I’m currently a student at Univerista Bocconi In Milan, studying Economics and Finance. I was born in London, and grew up there and also spent 7 years in Abu Dhabi. My hobbies include travelling and playing netball and of course relaxing with my friends. I attended Brighton College Abu Dhabi for majority of my high school and finished my last 2 years of education at Latymer Upper School in London where I did A levels. I took maths, physics and economics alongside completing an Extended Project Qualification on whether unpaid (household) labour should be recognized within GDP, earning a merit! I received an excellence award for all A**'s in my GCSE's from edexcel and have had loads of experience tutoring GCSE's and Levels given I didn't do them long ago.

About me I love to travel, explore new places and meet people from different cultures. I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. Last, but not least, I enjoy all forms of sugar - especially cake! Aside from my degree, I am qualified to teach TEFL. I really enjoy working with those who don't have English as a first language. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English. Furthermore, I am qualified to do proofreading. This fits in well with teaching English. I also have a certificate in Counselling Skills.

I'm Jack, a passionate student with a strong work ethic. I have recently completed my A Levels and I am planning to go on to Durham University to study economics. I have previous experience of tutoring GCSE maths and physics and have enabled students to improve by over 4 grades. I’m an ESL teacher with eight years of experience, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident in using English. Over the years, I’ve worked with different types of learners, so I’ve learned how to adjust my teaching style depending on what my students need. Outside the classroom, I volunteer in my community, especially working with youth. This is something very important to me because I believe education can really change lives. It also helped me become more patient, understanding, and connected to the real challenges students face. I’m very interested in learning more about education and social issues. I like reading books and doing my own research because I want to improve not just as a teacher, but also as a person. I try to bring these insights into my lessons so they feel more meaningful and relatable. I also love traveling because it helps me experience different cultures and perspectives, which I think is important when teaching language. As a person, I’m goal-oriented and organized, but I also try to stay flexible depending on the situation. I always reflect on my teaching and look for ways to improve. My main goal is to support my students, help them grow, and make learning English something they feel confident and comfortable with. As a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, I am passionate about helping students discover the power of language and develop their confidence in expressing themselves. Teaching, for me, is not just about lessons—it’s about inspiring curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and connecting learning to students’ everyday lives. I love making English engaging by sharing stories, reading books, and exploring creative ways for students to practice communication. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy volunteering in my community to support youth, which has taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of understanding each learner’s needs. I also love traveling, which broadens my perspective and allows me to bring new ideas and cultural insights into my teaching.
