Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. I am a Qualified Teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching Mathematics to students of all levels. Experience with: Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, GCSE Maths Exam Prep, Special Need,11+ ,13+ Exam Board Experience: I can work with any exam board. Edexcel, AQA, OCR (most material is common to all exam boards). I am currently working as a Mathematics teacher at a school in the U.K. In my previous roles, I taught mathematics and coding. I have also tutored students at various levels, from elementary school to college. I am very well aware of the Mathematics curriculum and always look for new and engaging ways to teach it.
