My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths. Whether I'm doing cryptic crosswords or sudokus, I believe that challenging your brain is the most entertaining activity. I am currently attending Newcastle University studying Accounting and Finance. I completed my A-levels at King Edward VI School in Morpeth, where I achieved ABB. I completed my GCSEs at The Blyth Academy, where I achieved 5 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s, and 2 grade 7s.

Hello ! I'm Sadie, 19 and currently completing an undergraduate degree in International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response in Manchester. I am passionate about learning and enjoy helping others build confidence in their academic abilities. I completed my secondary education in 2025, where I focused on Geography, Religious Studies and Chemistry, and have continued to develop my knowledge and passion for geography through my university course. I have experience supporting younger students with exam preparation, having taken part in a peer coaching scheme for 2 years whilst at school. Through this, I have learned the importance of patience, structure and encouragement in helping students succeed. It also taught me how best to adapt my teaching style to suit individual learning needs and aim to create a supportive learning environment. In my free time I enjoy reading, travelling and hiking, especially since moving to Manchester where I am now right on the doorstep of the beautiful peak district ! I look forward to helping students achieve their goals and gain confidence in their studies. In 2023, I completed 10 GCSEs at the Cotswold School, Bourton on the Water. These include English Language and Literature (both grade 6), mathematics (grade 8), Biology (grade 7), chemistry (grade 8), physics (grade 9) and geography (grade 9). I then continued my education with the Cotswold School Sixth Form, completing an AS level in Mathematics in 2024, and 3 A levels in Geography (A), Religious Studies (A) and Chemistry (B) in 2025. I am now in the Process of completing an undergraduate degree in MSC International Disaster Management and Humanitarian Response with the University of Manchester, with a predicted graduation in 2028.

Hi! I’m Zanele — a creative, friendly, and positive person who loves connecting with others and making every moment meaningful. I enjoy exploring new ideas, listening to music, reading, and spending time with my family. I’m naturally curious and love learning about different cultures and ways of seeing the world. People often describe me as patient, kind, and full of energy — someone who makes others feel comfortable and inspired. I believe laughter, creativity, and confidence go hand in hand, and I always bring that spirit into everything I do. I hold a degree in Linguistics and a TEFL certification, with over six years of teaching experience. My studies and classroom experience have given me a strong understanding of language structure, communication, and how people learn best. This allows me to create lessons that are clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I specialise in English language learning and literature, focusing on grammar, writing, reading comprehension, communication skills, and literary analysis. I also help students improve exam preparation, essay writing, and conversational fluency, tailoring lessons to each student’s individual needs and learning style.

I’m a third-year aeronautical engineering student who knows from experience what it feels like when lectures, textbooks, or problem sheets just don’t make sense the first (or fifth) time. I’ve been in the position where school support wasn’t quite enough, which is why I enjoy helping students bridge that gap and actually understand what’s going on, not just memorise steps. My approach is relaxed, patient, and focused on building confidence alongside knowledge. There are no silly questions here — if something doesn’t make sense, that just means it’s worth asking about as I strongly believe that asking questions is part of learning, and no one should feel embarrassed for needing things explained differently. Outside academics, I’m a big sports fan and still play football for my own club as well as my university team. I love the outdoors, animals, and generally staying active, which probably explains why I like explanations that are clear, practical, and grounded rather than overly abstract. My goal is to make learning feel less intimidating and a lot more achievable. My degree has strengthened my analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and ability to break complex ideas into logical, easy-to-follow steps — skills that translate directly into effective tutoring. During school, I took on leadership and mentoring roles, including serving as a Maths Ambassador, and went on to complete certifications in Sports Leadership, Mentoring in Violence Prevention, and Mental Health Ambassador training. Together, these experiences strengthened my communication skills, adaptability, and ability to build both understanding and confidence in others.
