Hi, I'm Mona! A little about me; I tutor Primary and GCSE-level students in English. Right now, I'm more focused on GCSE students. I have in-depth knowledge in English literature from Shakespearean plays like Macbeth to War and Conflict Poems, and more. I'm fluent in English, write a lot, and I absolutely love creative writing so that comes in handy when guiding students through revision for the English Language Paper. I'm also familiar with exam boards such as AQA, Edexcel, and Eduqas. What I love most about my tutoring sessions is that from the onset, my students and I try to make learning not feel like a chore. We strive to not only achieve the educational goals we set out but we make it so that the main objective is to learn and understand, not just pass a test. I'm open-minded and firmly believe there is no such thing as a person who can't be taught. Each student is different from the next and all anyone really needs is the right kind of guidance. I am currently in University for my Bachelor's but I graduated from the equivalent of UK A-Levels with honours. My curriculum was English, Arts, and Humanities-centered so I had subjects such as Media and Information Literacy, Research Writing, Creative Fiction and Non-Fiction, Contemporary Art, etc. I used to write for a travel blog and was the assistant to the managerial editor of a newspaper company so I proofread, edited, and wrote articles a lot.

As an experienced tutor of 5+ years, I help students succeed academically in English and Math, from primary levels to higher levels of gymnasium or senior high school. Though I don't speak German, I bring enthusiasm to my work. I've taught diverse students from various online teaching platforms in Asia and South America, ranging from beginners to advanced learners. I have experience in one-on-one and group settings, using effective methods to meet academic needs. Outside of tutoring, I work as a registered chemical technician validating test results in a US-based laboratory, spend time with my German Shepherd and Yellow Labrador, travel, enjoy food, and continuously enhance my skills. My name is Ibukun but you can call me Ibby. I am a second year pharmacy student and I enjoy all things chemistry and biology. For my A-levels, I studied biology, chemistry and psychology. In my spare time, I am a writer, and I love to read books and also play the piano. I see myself as a very enthusiastic person, and I enjoy helping other people with subjects that they may find difficult. I attended Queen Mary’s High School for GCSE’S, I achieved 7, 8, 9’s. In chemistry I achieved a grade 8 and in biology I achieved a grade 9. I then attended Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School for A-levels and I did Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. At my time there, I also did an EPQ based on social constructs. I am now completing my MPharm degree, and I am currently in 2nd year.

I'm a fun and active individual that likes sports and other physical activities. Just started my second year in my degree apprenticeship in data science with Airbus UK and some of my favourite hobbies include: Basketball, Cricket, movies, travelling and gaming. Attended Broughton Fields primary school when I first moved to the UK in 2011, and then went on to complete my GCSEs and A levels at Oakgrove Secondary School in Milton Keynes. Achieving high grades in both GCSEs and A levels, having done IT, Business and Mathematics in A levels.
