My name is Liezle. I am currently pursuing a career in science as a trainee laboratory assistant within the biochemistry and chemistry fields. Additionally, I’ve run my own business, taught middle school in Asia, and for a few years exercised my creative muscle as a fashion assistant. Anything outdoor involving wine and food with a friend, or a lazy day at the ocean or hanging around in a shopping mall is a good day. I truly love science. I am passionate about learning new things and applying my knowledge to real-world problems. I am always eager to collaborate with others and contribute to the advancement of scientific research, testing and analytical thinking! I am a 3rd year student at the University of South Africa; I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a focus on biochemistry and chemistry. I have also gained valuable experience as a general science educator for a few years, where I taught students within intermediate phase, in the chemistry, physics and biology disciplines. I am also embarking on a one-year laboratory assistant trainee program.

I’m a passionate tutor who genuinely loves teaching and helping students grow in confidence. My lessons are fun, engaging, and educational, and I always adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. Outside of tutoring, I love Pilates it keeps me focused, energised, and balanced, which I bring into my teaching as well. I hold a Master’s degree in Information Technology with Data Analytics, which I completed with Distinction at the University of the West of Scotland. Through this program, I developed a strong foundation in core IT principles alongside advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. My studies covered areas such as data analysis, data management, information systems, and the practical application of technology to real-world problems.

I completed my secondary education at Apostolos Markos Lyceum in Cyprus, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematics and science. During my final year, I achieved first place in the 2022 Pancyprian Mathematics Competition, a national-level award recognising top mathematical ability. I then completed A-levels in Pure Mathematics, earning the highest mark in Europe in A-level Pure Mathematics. I am currently studying Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Manchester, one of the UK’s top universities. I have just completed my first year with a first-class overall mark of 82.583%, excelling in both theoretical and applied mathematics modules. My university coursework has further deepened my understanding of algebra, calculus, statistics, and logical problem solving.
