I’m Hafsa, a Public Health graduate with a passion for helping students learn with confidence. I enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into simple steps and adapting my teaching to each student’s needs. My goal is to create a positive, supportive learning environment where every student can succeed. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Pakistan, where my studies were fully taught in English. My academic background includes science, health, research methods, and statistics. I’ve always enjoyed maths and problem-solving, and my education helps me explain concepts clearly and support students effectively.

I am a dedicated and results-driven tutor with a strong academic background in the sciences, supported by hands-on experience in laboratory research and academic writing. I have contributed to a publication with the British Heart Foundation in collaboration with the University of Oxford, which strengthened my ability to analyse complex information and communicate it clearly. This experience allows me to explain complex scientific concepts in a way that is clear, engaging, and accessible to students of all levels. I specialise in GCSE Biology and 11+ preparation, with a clear focus on helping students achieve top grades (A/A*). My teaching style is structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. I break down challenging concepts into simple, digestible steps and place strong emphasis on exam technique, ensuring students can confidently apply their knowledge. For 11+ students, I provide targeted support in areas such as problem-solving, comprehension, and critical thinking. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading widely, particularly around science and personal development, which helps me bring fresh perspectives into my teaching. I enjoy inspiring and supporting others in their learning, keeping active, and pursuing my love of singing, experiences that have shaped my confidence and ability to connect with people effectively. My goal is not only to improve grades but to develop independent learners who feel empowered in their studies. I am committed to delivering high-quality, virtual tutoring that is both supportive and results-focused, helping every student reach their full academic potential. I hold a first-class degree in Biomedical Science, with a strong focus on molecular biology, genetics, and physiology. During my studies, I gained extensive laboratory experience, including DNA extraction, library preparation, and NGS techniques, which strengthened my practical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. I have contributed to a publication with the British Heart Foundation in collaboration with the University of Oxford, enhancing my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and effectively. In addition, I hold a Level 3 Diploma in Paramedic Science, with training in emergency medicine, which has further developed my practical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations. My academic foundation is complemented by GCSEs predominantly at A and A* grades, reflecting a strong record of consistent achievement across core subjects. Alongside my academic qualifications, I have completed training in teaching and academic mentoring, equipping me to design lessons tailored to individual learning needs and help students achieve top grades. I chose Biomedical Science out of a passion for understanding living systems and applying scientific knowledge in practical ways. My combination of a first-class academic record, research and lab experience, paramedic training, and tutoring expertise allows me to confidently support students in GCSE Biology and 11+ preparation. I focus on building both strong subject knowledge and effective exam strategies, helping students gain confidence, stay motivated, and excel academically.

I’m currently in my first year of Biomedical Science. I have a strong passion for the sciences, with an interest of sharing scientific knowledge with my peers and students. I have done my A levels Maths, Biology and Chemistry in the UK but I have a multicultural background as I moved from Italy. I used to spent my Saturday mornings teaching primary schoolers in Italy with additional learning needs. This choice was rooted by the fact that my own brothers have additional learning needs so that experience, combined with being multilingual (I can fluently speak in Hindi, Punjabi, and Italian), has shaped how I approach learning with patience making sure nobody is left behind. I want to become a tutor because it gives me satisfaction when I see students achieving their goals and see their self-confidence soar! I don't just want to teach subjects but I want to be a supportive part of their journey, helping them realize that no academic challenge is too big to overcome. I achieved my GCSEs (Maths, Physics, Combined Science, Philosophy, Latin, Italian Language and Literature, English, History, Social Sciences and PE) in Italy. After that I moved to the UK where I completed my GCSE in English language and Maths and an ESOL course at Tresham College in Corby. I continued my studies following my passion for the scientific subjects. I studied A level Maths, Chemistry and Biology, at the Corby Sixth Form, achieving a grade B in all three of my subjects. Currently I'm in my first year of Biomedical Science at the University of East Anglia. Additionally I also have completed an online course on careers available in the NHS and volunteered at my local hospital so I can provide mentorship for students interested in studying STEM degree and gain access in an health related career.
