Hello! My name is Stephanie Mazambi and I’m in my second year at King’s College London studying Medicine. Alongside my academic, teaching students is a genuine passion of mine as I love to help students unlock their full potential and secure the grades they deserve. Guiding peers through the intricacies of academics has been my joy. From achieving stellar GCSE results, including 2x 7`s, 2x 9`s, and 5x 8`s, to securing an A in A-Level Biology, my journey has been marked by dedication to learning. Also, recently completing my A-levels, I understand how hard and frustrating preparation for exams can be and hope to be a helping hand to those who need it. Have previously been involved in Regional + National Lego Robotic Competitions and have mentored for students after. I did my schooling at the International Indian School, KSA, then pursued my Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering back in India. Later, I packed my bags and moved to Italy for my Master’s in Economics and Data Analysis (specialising in Data Science), talk about a change in scenery AND numbers! Work-wise, I’ve been a Data Analyst in France, a Data Scientist in London at Depop (part of Etsy), and a Teaching Assistant in Bracknell, where I supported students from Year 3 to GCSEs in Maths, Science, and Computer Science. As Dory says “Just keep swimming!” and that’s basically my teaching style; keep moving, keep learning, and have a laugh along the way.

Hi, my name's Roshini! I am a final year medical student and I have experience tutoring GCSE Maths and Science. I am passionate about helping students succeed and helping them enjoy the learning process. I work well with students of varying levels of ability and am committed to enhancing a student's capability to the fullest extent. Currently, I am in my fifth year of studying medicine after having done my schooling at The Henrietta Barnett School. I achieved 8A*and 2As in my GCSEs and have a good foundation and understanding of GCSE topics. I use a combination of resources, including my own study materials and exam style questions to ensure students have consolidated their knowledge of topics. I strive to create a nurturing and encouraging environment with my sessions to make students feel motivated to learn. I adapt lesson style and content to your needs. We can go through specific subject areas, study skills and exam skills as required. I can vary how the material is delivered according to the situation and what works for you. I will teach and do lecture notes where appropriate, or take a more "coaching" style if that suits you and the situation better. We can even do more seminar/discussion style lessons as you become more comfortable with the material. At the heart of all of the above is making sure that we are working together so that you can achieve your goals. I know that you are probably already having lessons in school or at home, and my goal will be to complement those existing lessons rather than replacing them so that you can get the best value out of our time together. Specialisms: I am able to cover all aspects of the curriculum but I am particularly focused on skills. Psychology is a little different to other subjects covered at A-Level - not only do students have to learn a lot of information and produce it under exam conditions, but there is also a need to analyze and evaluate what has been learned so that they can write clearly, concisely and insightfully about that information. As well as teaching the syllabus content, I can help improve a student's thinking and writing skills so that they can go into exams with more confidence. I have also developed my coaching skills so work with students to help them improve their own problem-solving capabilities so that they can identify how they can study more effectively. A bit about me: I'm a PhD-qualified tutor who, over the course of my career, spent time working as a researcher, consultant and analyst across different industries. In all of those other roles, the part I enjoyed most was training, teaching and coaching people, so I am working towards making that my full-time career. Working in industry has taught me the importance of always turning up prepared and ready to work, using clear, prompt and honest communication and making sure that whoever I am working with knows that I am working in their best interests. The same will apply when we work together. In my spare time I love to play football and follow a lot of sport. I am learning to play guitar (very slowly) and enjoy listening to music, going to gigs when the opportunity arises. I love learning and am always doing some course or another - I'm currently studying to teach English as a foreign language and working towards accredited coach status.
