I have always been passionate about teaching Chemistry, Psychology, and Biology, and I have been tutoring these subjects for over a year. It has been incredibly rewarding to witness students grow in confidence and develop a genuine enjoyment for subjects they once found challenging. To see young people’s interest grow as they begin to learn sciences for the first time and to help them build a better understanding of this is very rewarding. My goal is to continue helping students improve their grades by making learning engaging and accessible. When a subject feels difficult, it can be discouraging to persevere, which is why I strive to create a supportive and enjoyable learning environment. As a tutor, I believe in adapting my teaching approach to each student’s unique needs, ensuring that they find the subject both approachable and interesting. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: a Grade 9 in Chemistry, a Grade 8 in Physics, Food Preparation and Nutrition and Geography. 3 Grade 7’s in Biology, Maths and German and 3 Grade 6’s in English Literature, English Language and Religion, Psychology and Ethics. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A in Chemistry, an A in Psychology, and an A in Biology. I am currently studying Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bristol.

Currently I am a teacher of Mathematics for secondary education, and I am also teaching adults as part of their CPD. When I am teaching, I use creative and critical thinking techniques to help my students to acquire in-depth understanding of fundamental concepts of mathematics. Part of my teaching consists of games, quizzes and other creative and fun activities that aim to make teaching and learning easier and more enjoyable. It is also important for me to help my students to learn how to solve word problems, which is a skill that students find hard to acquire. I enjoy walking, travelling, reading, sports and music. Lately I became fascinated with Space exploration and the possibilities that it creates for the development of new technology and how it helps improve living conditions on Earth. I am also interested in Artificial Intelligence and machine learning and how these are based on mathematical thought. I have a degree in Pure Mathematics from the Aristotle University of Greece, an MA in Mathematics Education from Leeds University in the UK and a PGCE in Mathematics from the UK. I have a Qualified Teacher Status to work in UK schools and I have 22 years of work experience in the UK, Greece and Cyprus.

I study Biomedical Science and am hoping to get into medical research and diagnostics soon! Apart from academics, I love rock music, gaming, reading and am a trained Indian Classical and Contemporary dancer! I am a third year Biomedical science student at Aston University and am hoping to get into medical research. At the moment I am completing my placement year in the NHS to gain registration as a biomedical scientist! At A-level, I studied Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. I have extensive experience helping students in science, ranging from secondary education to university level. I have successfully assisted students in achieving higher grades in GCSEs, A-levels, and university degree projects. With a combined six years of teaching and tutoring experience, I am patient and deeply passionate about helping students grasp scientific concepts and improve their academic performance. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, UK. Additionally, I have a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from an overseas institution. My expertise primarily lies in addressing challenges in the chemical and energy sectors, as well as in teaching at higher education levels (university) and secondary education (GCSE and A-levels in Mathematics and Science).
