I am a dedicated student of Mathematics and Actuarial Science with a strong passion for problem-solving and analytical thinking. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable steps—an approach I bring into my tutoring sessions. Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in sports including football, badminton, snooker, and golf. I believe that the discipline and strategic thinking gained from sports complement my academic pursuits and enhance my ability to connect with students from various backgrounds. I am currently studying Mathematics and Actuarial Science at the University of Southampton, where I am continuing to deepen my understanding of mathematical theory, statistical analysis, and their real-world applications. Before university, I completed my A Levels at St Dominic’s Sixth Form College, achieving an A in both Mathematics and Chemistry—subjects I now tutor. My success in these subjects has given me the confidence and insight to support students in mastering challenging concepts and developing effective exam strategies. I completed my GCSEs at Pinner High School, earning 11 GCSEs at grades 9 to 7, including top marks in Maths and the Sciences. This academic foundation has given me a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the expectations of exam boards. Having recently been through the school and sixth form system myself, I am well placed to relate to students and provide guidance that is both up-to-date and practical. I aim to create a calm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle their weaknesses, and build confidence in their abilities.

Hello. I'm Debs, nice to meet you. I tutor a range of subjects, all based on experience of teaching within school, college and less tradiitional settings. I love tutoring one to one as that is the best way to give the student exactly what they need. I teach Sociology, Business and English at GCSE and A level and I have experience of AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I have also taught Btec Business level 1-3 In 2023 I completed a Master's degree in Philosophy as I love learning new things just as much as I love to teach. I make learning fun wherever possible and tailor every lesson to the student's needs. Hello! I am a doctoral student in English Literature at the University of Lincoln, having completed my BA at Lincoln in 2019, and having completed my teacher training (PGCE) at the University of Hull. After this, I then began tutoring whilst I completed my MA in English Literature, graduating in 2022. I write both fiction and non-fiction work in my private life, being published online and in print, and I hope that I can share my love of the subject with you. I am also published in media studies and literary theory by a variety of academic publishers, most recently Palgrave, and have several more chapters due for publication in the next 18 months. I teach English, both literature and language, to GCSE and A Level students - primarily within the AQA specification, although I also have familiarity with Edexcel. Though less common, I am also comfortable tutoring undergraduate English Literature. My tutoring is therefore best suited to students aged 11 and up. I went to secondary school in a small town without a huge track record of academic success, and so I know the kind of circumstances that people might be dealing with in pursuing their education at that level. After completing secondary school, I finished A Levels in English Literature, French, and Physics, before completing my BA in English in 2019. I then completed a PGCE in teaching English at the University of Hull in 2021, and completed an MA in English Literature at the University of Lincoln in 2022. I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Lincoln, studying depictions of psychosis in Gothic Literature.

I'm a fun and active individual that likes sports and other physical activities. Just started my second year in my degree apprenticeship in data science with Airbus UK and some of my favourite hobbies include: Basketball, Cricket, movies, travelling and gaming. Attended Broughton Fields primary school when I first moved to the UK in 2011, and then went on to complete my GCSEs and A levels at Oakgrove Secondary School in Milton Keynes.
