--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.

Hi, I’m Udit! I’m currently working as a Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. I hold a PhD in Chemistry and was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie PhD Fellowship — a highly competitive international research scholarship. I also have a Master’s degree in Chemistry (with Distinction) and a First Division Bachelor’s in Chemistry. Over the past ten years, I’ve taught Science at GCSE, A Level, and undergraduate levels. I previously taught at Bedford College, where I worked closely with students studying for AQA and OCR exams. I now teach undergraduate Chemistry at university level, and I’m passionate about helping students build a deep and lasting understanding of the subject. In my lessons, I focus on strengthening core concepts so students can approach more complex ideas with confidence. I like to begin by working through a few basic questions to identify areas of focus, and then tailor the lesson accordingly. My sessions usually include discussion, problem-solving, and past paper practice, always with your goals in mind. I completed my school and sixth form education at St Paul’s Church College in Agra, India, where I achieved strong grades in science subjects, particularly Chemistry and Biotechnology. I then studied for a BSc in Chemistry and Zoology, graduating with Honours in Chemistry, and went on to complete an MSc in Chemistry with distinction at Dayalbagh Educational Institute, India. Later, I moved to the UK to pursue a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Lancashire. My doctoral research focused on improving the stability of materials used in solar panels and electronic devices. Through this, I gained hands-on experience with advanced laboratory methods and international research facilities. Alongside my academic background, I have taught science across various levels. I previously taught GCSE Science, A Level Chemistry, and Applied Science courses at Bedford College, where I also led the T Level Science programme and supported curriculum development. I now work as an Associate Lecturer in Medical Sciences at the University of Lancashire. My main area of expertise is Chemistry, particularly physical and inorganic chemistry, but I also have a solid understanding of Biology and experience supporting students across all science disciplines. I am an Aerothermal - Aerodynamics methods engineer for Rolls Royce Defence Aerospace and I work on solving complex equations and technology methods to accelerate future of high speed and space travel. I am graduate from imperial college London in advanced aeronautics, I am involved heavily in advanced mathematics and physics. I have tutored in further maths and maths for all exam boards and physics, including a programming tutorials society I used to carry out in university to help students expand on coding and solve problems instantly. I graduated from imperial college London in October 2021 and soon later joined graduate programme with Rolls Royce engineering and technology regime. I developed myself into a leading researcher and developer role where I flourished in making significant contributions to turbomachinary gas path Aerothermodynamics. I have tutored as part time as a self improvement and hobbie to learn and help pursue dreams of people to take their learning step further and pursue stem.
