Hi! My name is sharmin, I am currently studying Medicine in Manchester and have worked with students of a wide range of ages and requirements. I personally thrive off learning and am a dedicated tutor who understands how important it is to provide students with unique and tailored support to help them not only achieve their study goals but also actively enjoy the learning process. In my degree I have spent a lot of time as a peer tutor to people in my class and students in the years of the degree below me in teaching societies. Alongside this I have also tutored students in English Language and Literature GCSE previously as I have always enjoyed the subject and volunteered as a tutor for students in Year 5-6 looking for additional support in their SATs exams.

Hi,My name is Judy, I’m a fourth year medical student with a previous bachelor’s in Medical sciences. I have a huge interest in scientific research and writing, I work as a podcast panellist on a medical student run podcast called “Sharp Scratch” by BMJ student and I volunteer as chief of my University run national newsletter. I am currently a fourth year medical student with a bachelors degree in Medical sciences completed at the University of central Lancashire . I completed my Leaving certificate in 2019. I have a certificate in phlebotomy and training in line with NHS courses, as a healthcare assistant and vaccinator.

I achieved A* in Economics and A's in Biology and Chemistry in my recent A-levels. Unlike typical tutors, I've been in the student's shoes, balancing A-levels, a social life, and university applications. As a gap year student aspiring to study medicine, I'm here to guide you through this challenging journey. In Year 12, I faced initial struggles, earning E, D, and C grades in Economics, Chemistry, and Biology. But within 8 months, I transformed my grades in economics achieving one of the highest marks in the country. As a student I've overcome the same roadblocks, revision hardships, and academic pressures as you. Top grades require more than just content knowledge; they demand effective hard work. Luck plays a role, but it's essentially a mathematical probability principle. With strategic effort, you can tilt the odds in your favour, no matter what challenges come your way. My tutoring philosophy is based on a series of books / research paper i have read on educational neurosciences of how to learn most effectively which i personally implemented thus i know work for the average student . As a student I know the struggles of taking some of the hardest alevels and balancing the workload that comes with them , I also took GCSEs in 2021 and received 12 GSCES at 9-7 grades .
