I have 10+ years of teaching experience at school level, academies and online classes. To help my students out with their queries and bringing them out of grey zones is my utmost priority. My hobbies include working out, football and research. I believe that physical activity is very important for our mental health and it also helps us in making better decisions. On the other hand, I am constantly trying to research new studies and theories as learning is not restricted to a certain age group rather it is for all of us until we can still breathe. Hi! I'm Pia. The subject I teach is Mathematics at GCSE level and also GCSE Biology. I understand that maths and biology can present difficult challenges and having received tutoring for both subjects, it has really helped me to understand and enjoy the subjects a lot. I hope to be able to help other students develop their confidence and learn to enjoy maths and biology too! I completed 9 GCSEs, including an A in Maths, Biology and Chemistry and also completed my A-levels with an A in Maths and Biology and B in Chemistry. I am currently studying Biomedical Science at the University of Birmingham. Even though I am not studying a mathematical course at university, maths has always been my favourite subject through school

Alongside my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on antibiotic resistance, an area of real scientific relevance. This independent research project developed my ability to think critically, evaluate complex information, and communicate ideas in a clear, structured way—skills that are essential for academic success and effective exam technique. I am currently a medical student, a highly competitive course that reflects both my academic ability and commitment to excellence. Studying medicine has further strengthened my understanding of science at a deeper level, while also training me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps—an approach I use directly in my tutoring to help students understand, retain, and apply what they learn with confidence.

Hello! My name is Shruti and I have always been fascinated by technology and how it shapes the world we live in. I have a strong passion for mathematics and science. I enjoy the challenges of solving complex problems and finding different solutions, which strengthen analytical thinking as well as problem-solving skills. I believe this is very important because it helps us to understand problems better and enables us to break them down into smaller, more manageable parts, which is also very crucial to learn. This also allows us to evaluate options logically instead of just guessing. Alongside this, I love listening to music. Listening to different genres helps me to relax and stay motivated; it also enhances my focus, concentration and memory. For me, music also works by blocking out distractions and creating a very steady rhythm for the brain to follow, which further increases my level of concentration. I also enjoy learning different languages because I believe this helps with connecting to different people from diverse backgrounds. Cognitively, learning a new language strengthens memory, problem-solving skills, as well as concentration. Altogether, these skills helped me to build confidence and independence. Therefore, I became better at explaining new ideas clearly and in an easily understandable way. I also became better at learning new things and finding solutions quickly to different problems. This is extremely essential in fields like engineering and tutoring! Throughout my academic years, I have attended Queen Mary's High School, and after that, I attended Queen Mary's Grammar School for sixth form. Currently, I am a first year Computer Engineering Student at the University of Birmingham.During my school years and university so far, I have completed assignments, projects which have helped me to develop my analytical thinking skills and experience explaining difficult concepts easily. Furthermore, I have also done mentoring before in school, where I was teaching maths to a GCSE student, and this also enabled my skills to improve and gave me more experience of teaching.
