I have been tutoring for a decade and I am a qualified teacher. I have worked in main, SEN and private schools which were highly rated in West London. I adore helping students progress in their learning, and for them to visibly see their own progress and feel proud of themselves. I aim to give my students as much knowledge and encouragement. With over four years of experience tutoring maths and science, I’ve developed a structured and results-driven approach that helps students build confidence and master exam technique. As an MPharm graduate currently completing my hospital training year, I bring a strong foundation in clinical reasoning and scientific analysis to my sessions. My tutoring style focuses on consolidating knowledge through exam-style questions, allowing students to apply concepts in realistic scenarios. I begin by clarifying core principles, then guide learners through targeted practice using past papers and timed exercises. This method not only improves accuracy but also fosters resilience and reflective thinking—skills essential for academic success. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style, creating a supportive environment where questions are encouraged and progress is tracked. Tutoring has become a rewarding extension of my clinical work, allowing me to share my passion for science while helping others achieve their goals. I began my academic journey at John Ruskin College, where I completed A levels in Chemistry and Biology, alongside GCSEs in English and Maths. I also earned a BTEC Extended Diploma in Applied Science and was awarded the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh for altruism. I’ve since graduated with an MPharm degree from the University of East Anglia and am currently completing my hospital training year as a trainee pharmacist. This clinical experience has strengthened my analytical thinking and deepened my understanding of scientific principles—skills I bring into every tutoring session. My approach centres on consolidating knowledge through exam-style questions, helping students apply concepts confidently and accurately. I create a supportive environment that encourages reflection, resilience, and progress. Tutoring allows me to share my passion for science while helping learners achieve their academic goals.
Donna D.
Hello! My name is Donna. I have lived and worked in different parts of England, Wales and Scotland at various times. I teach English and Humanities subjects remotely, and have done so for over 5 years; although I have worked within an educational environment for more than 15 years. Throughout this time it has been a real privilege to help students progress and reach their full potential. I personally love learning and reading, and get excited about exchanging new ideas and thoughts with my students. I hold a Bachelors Degree in teaching English Education, with TESOL as my major and Primary School Education as my minor. I am also finalising a BA History with Honours degree as a second degree through The Open University. I have always had a fascination with History, especially ancient history and archaeology. I believe that History is an important subject, as it not only created our past but will also help to define our future too. As a person I love animals, photography and outdoor activities, such as walking and kayaking. I enjoy travelling and have had the opportunity to visit many wonderful places throughout Egypt, Europe, and America. I am a qualified Rescue Scuba diver and have dived in some great areas. Wherever I go, I always try visit local historical sites and see local cultures I hold a Bachelors Degree in teaching English Education from the United States Institute of Language and Clerical Studies. I graduated Cum Laude (Distinction/Honours) with Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages as my Major, and Primary School Education as my Minor. I am also finalising a BA History with Honours degree as a second degree through The Open University. I have always had a fascination with History, especially ancient history and archaeology. I believe that History is an important subject, as it not only created our past but will also help to define our future too. I also have additional certifications in teaching English Grammar. Having worked within an educational environment for more than 15 years, I have taught English and Humanities subjects remotely for over 5 years. Throughout all of this time it has been privilege to help students progress, and obtain improved grades. I have supported ESL students with exam preparation, and current class subjects such as; Humanities, Science, and English. Additionally, I have supported students applying to university, by helping with personal statements and UCAS applications. In the classroom, my goal has always been to inspire students so that they can gain confidence in their subjects. My classes are always fun and engaging. Students learn at different paces and in different ways so often need time to understand what they are learning. Therefore, I patiently use a variety of teaching materials to consolidate concepts, ideas and dates. These are then reinforced through in-class practice. Mini class quizzes identify areas for additional support, and exam preparation help students feel comfortable and better prepared when it comes to taking their all important exams and tests.

I have availability for students Mondays and Wednesdays daytimes only. I have been an educator and trainer for over 17 years and love nothing more than seeing students achieve their goals. I am a scuba diving instructor as my main role and work all over the world. I enjoy watching Netflix and love diving even when I am not in work. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world through all my roles during my career. I tutor 11+, English at primary level and also tutor mathematics and science up to GCSE. I have knowledge of all UK countries curriculum and also the German curriculum. I myself completed the 11+ equivalent when younger and understand the commitment and learning that is needed to succeed. My favourite subjects in school were maths, science and physical education. I am also experienced in working with children with additional learning needs.

Hi! I’m Haivyn, and I’ve recently finished A Level Biology and Chemistry, two subjects I made strong progress in and now love helping others understand. I know science can be overwhelming, so I focus on breaking things down clearly and explaining them in a way that makes sense to each student. I’ve worked with children in several settings. In a Year 8 science class, I supported students who were struggling by using diagrams, hands-on examples, and simple language to match their way of thinking. Some students needed topics broken into small steps, while others needed real-life links to stay engaged. I also made sure to check in often, praise their progress, and build their confidence bit by bit. At Let Us Play, I supported children with disabilities, helping them feel comfortable, included, and understood. I learned to adapt my communication style and be patient, especially when children needed extra time or reassurance. At Nita’s Hair and Beauty, I looked after children while their parents had treatments. I kept them entertained with games and friendly conversations, and made sure they felt safe and listened to. These experiences taught me how to connect with young people, explain clearly, and be the kind of tutor who supports not just learning but confidence too. I’m friendly, patient, and I’ll always teach at your pace. Looking forward to helping you grow! I completed my GCSEs at Colton Hills Community School, taking triple science, Maths, English Language and Literature, RS, and two BTECs in Sport and Health and Social Care, achieving A*s in sciences and strong overall grades. I then studied A-level Biology, Chemistry, and Economics at The Royal School Wolverhampton, completing my courses and now awaiting results. Following a consistent revision routine helped me excel academically, while playing netball developed my teamwork, leadership, and resilience. Teaching a Year 8 science class strengthened my communication and patience. These experiences have shaped me into a disciplined, confident, and empathetic individual, ready to take on new challenges with a strong passion for learning and helping others.
