Hi! I’m Sahib, a Mechanical Engineering student at a top 10 UK university who loves exploring how things work and finding creative ways to make them better. Outside of studying, I’m passionate about sports and fitness - from football, to padel, to boxing I try any sport I get the opportunity to play! Music and art are a big part of my life too, as I'm always listening to music and I draw from time to time to unwind. I love helping others learn and improve, and I try to bring the same energy and positivity from my hobbies into my tutoring sessions. I’m currently studying for a Bachelors of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at a top 10 UK university, where I’m on track for a 2:1. My degree has helped me develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially through modules like Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics. Before university, I studied at a state-funded school, where I completed my A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology, as well as my GCSEs graded 9–7 including Maths, English and Science.

Hello, my name is Lorenzo and I am an Italian mathematician. I have been a university lecturer of maths at the Department of Pharmacology of the University of Rome Sapienza from 2020 till 2025. I have worked at an international college in Rome (courses fully taught in English language) as a teacher of maths and physics for international students of years 10 and 11, following UK Cambridge curriculum and preparing them for their IGCSE exam. On Gostudent, so far I have helped tens of students to face their Edexcel or AQA advanced maths exams. I am working as a private tutor of maths and physics since approximately 25 years, and I have been recently awarded with the University of London Worldwide Recognised Tutor Status. Hello! My name is Mark and I’m a graduate from Northumbria University with a 1st class Physics BSc with honours. I like to focus my sessions on the areas of a subject that you struggle with the most, starting from the beginning and building a strong understanding that you can use in the classroom and your exams. My sessions are pupil-led, where I am there to provide guidance, direction, examples and support. I love physics, especially the topics of space and energy, and I think that a passionate teacher can make even the most difficult subjects more approachable. I have experience tutoring, helping local pupils with their physics over COVID lock-downs. I look forward to meeting you! I have graduated from Northumbria University Newcastle with a First Class Bachelors with Honours in Physics. I studied Physics (A), Computer Science (A) and English Literature (B) at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School. I have 6 months experience tutoring local pupils in GCSE Physics over the COVID lockdown period.

--- About Me! --- I'm Danny, a 4th year physicist at the University of Edinburgh, currently undergoing a research year abroad working on a thesis at GSI/FAIR, a facility for high energy physics. My work involves a lot of programming, knowledge of physics, and application of engineering and design principles. I love inspiring others and talking about my subject, so any student who comes my way will hopefully leave feeling confident, ready for common exam questions, and most importantly, wanting to learn more beyond their curriculum. I play the violin to a diploma standard, love trying out new cooking recipes (sometimes with disastrous consequences), and really enjoy mountain sports, like climbing and hiking. --- My Education --- As mentioned above, I am a physicist at the University of Edinburgh on a year in industry at GSI. I am working on the upcoming DIRC particle detectors for the PANDA project and the EIC at Brookhaven (google these things, in my opinion they are very cool). This research of course involves knowing a bunch about programming, mathematics and physics! I achieved 4 A* grades at A-Level, in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Music, with the WJEC exam board. For these grades, I abused my poor printer, drilling past paper questions endlessly, so I am very familiar with this specific curriculum. However, mathematics and physics are very similar across all exam boards. There are common questions in every exam, and your child will become familiar and confident with these questions with me, ideally able to reproduce 'stock answers' with a high level of understanding and speed. This saves time in exams and guarantees easy marks; this is a major step in reducing exam anxiety, and one of the main strategies I used to achieve my marks. I taught a STEM program at a US summer camp. It was much more of a 'for fun' thing, so we focused on making classes lightweight and enjoyable, rather than drilling worksheets and past paper questions. As such, I won't exclusively bore tutees to death with math problems! I pride myself on being able to break down concepts into simple to understand analogies. I am also a huge advocate for using past questions as revision material. However, I recognise the importance for students to balance time spent on questions with going over textbook concepts.
