motivated 2nd year Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine student at the University of Nottingham, having achieved A*/9/A in the sciences and math at both GCSE and A-level, I love helping people and watching them succeed is extremely rewarding. In my spare time I like watching and playing chess, as well as playing basketball. I went to Colchester Royal Grammar School during my A-levels, where I took 4 A-level subjects (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, Physics) and achieved A*/A in all four. During my time there, I have also volunteered to tutor GCSE biology to lower grade students, and recently have also joined another tutoring agency called Get Further, which aims to help disadvantaged students in further education colleges reach core functional GCSE grades like Maths and English in order to move to higher education, improving issues like social mobility

Hi! I'm Teacher Allie. I'm 29 years old, and I'm from the "land of pearls, "the Philippines". I'm a graduate of secondary education major in Mathematics and a private tutor. I have been teaching online nearly six years now, and it's my pleasure to join your journey to learn the English language and Mathematics. I have a TEFL certificate; that qualifies me to teach kids, young professionals, and even adults. In my free time, I love watching foreign dramas and movies which help me learn different languages as well. I am dedicated and passionate about transferring knowledge to students, and I am also interested in learning new things. I would love to be your teacher because teaching is my passion. So, this will be a great opportunity for me to teach you the English language and Mathematics in the most simple and exciting way possible. I am interested in different cultures, and I would like to learn new things about your country from you. So, what are you waiting for? Book my class now, and we'll have fun learning English and Math! See you! I am a proud graduate of Bacolod City College, where I completed a Bachelor of Secondary Education majoring in Mathematics. My journey through BCC was marked by consistent academic excellence, having been a Dean's Lister throughout my studies. The rigorous academic environment and the institution's dedication to holistic development provided me with numerous opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. During my time at BCC, I actively engaged in professional development by attending impactful seminars, including "The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth", which focused on personal and professional growth strategies, and "Seminar on Researched-Based Learning Using Spreadsheets", which emphasized integrating technology into education. Additionally, I participated in the "Seminar on Inquiry-Based Learning Using GeoGebra in Teaching Algebra and Geometry", which enhanced my ability to apply innovative and interactive teaching methods in mathematics. Beyond academics, I represented my school in the 16th Statistical Analysis Contest for College Students held in Iloilo City, an experience that honed my analytical and problem-solving skills. This exposure to competitive environments strengthened my ability to think critically under pressure and collaborate effectively with peers. My specialization areas include teaching both Kids and Adults, with a focus on Grammar and Vocabulary, Phonics, and Travel English for real-world communication. I also excel in teaching Pronunciation, Test Preparation, Academic English, and Business English, tailored to meet diverse learner needs. My foundation in Mathematics further allows me to offer expertise in this field, ensuring that my teaching is precise, logical, and adaptable. These experiences, combined with my dedication to lifelong learning, have equipped me to be a versatile educator, ready to inspire and empower learners across various contexts.
Medhavi M.
Hi, my name is Medhavi and I am a first year medical student. I aspire to teach in a way that is tailored for the student's individual needs by combining aspects of theory with hands-on learning and exam questions. I hope to foster a positive and encouraging environment for the student by patiently easing them into the content and building our way up. I understand that attending tuition can be a daunting experience at times, which is why I strive to be a compassionate and understanding tutor. I have achieved all top grades 7-9 in GCSE, with 9s in Biology and Chemistry. I have also achieved As in A Level Psychology and Biology. From years 7-13, I attended a highly selective grammar school and am now entering my first year of medical school. I have taken part in work experience at Broomfield hospital and have received certification for this. I have prior experience with tutoring, and have worked alongside children ages 5 and up in both teaching and volunteering jobs.
