Hello! I'm Teacher Thea, your dedicated online math tutor. I’m passionate about transforming numbers, equations, and formulas into exciting and relatable concepts. My mission is to not only teach math but also to inspire confidence and problem-solving skills that will serve you well beyond the classroom. When I’m not diving into the world of math, I enjoy watching anime, playing online games and puzzles, and even strumming a few tunes on musical instruments. Let's make learning math a fun and enriching experience together! I hold a bachelor's degree in mathematics education and bring a wealth of experience to my role as an online math tutor. My academic journey is deeply rooted in mathematics, with a strong foundation built from advanced courses in calculus, algebra, geometry, statistics, and applied mathematics. I have excelled in math since my school days, and my passion for the subject has only grown over the years. This robust educational background and extensive teaching experience form the cornerstone of my approach to tutoring, ensuring that I provide students with a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.

Since joining GoStudent back in April 2023, I’ve had the incredible privilege of tutoring for over two years — and what a journey it has been! In that time, I’ve not only grown as a teacher but also as a communicator, motivator, and lifelong learner. My lessons are anything but “one-size-fits-all.” Every session is designed to spark curiosity, encourage outside-the-box thinking, and make learning genuinely enjoyable. I love giving students (and their families) the chance to shape the direction of our lessons — because when learning feels personal, progress happens naturally. For me, the most rewarding part of tutoring is watching students go from “I can’t” to “I can.” Whether it’s tackling tricky topics, preparing for exams, or simply rediscovering a love for learning, I’m here to celebrate every step forward and keep that momentum going. I studied at the UCL School of Pharmacy, where I am currently preparing to sit my final MPharm exams following a recent gap period. In October 2022, I proudly graduated with a First-Class MSci in Pharmaceutical Studies, a course that challenged me academically while also sparking my curiosity for problem-solving and research. Beyond the textbooks, I’ve always believed that learning should be creative and enjoyable. That’s why you’ll often find me making colourful, artsy study notes (which are slowly turning into a revision blog!), or bringing a creative twist into my lessons to help tricky concepts click. My education hasn’t just been about exams and grades — it’s also taught me how to stay curious, resilient, and open-minded, and I try to pass that on to every student I work with.

Hello! I'm Sila, an aspiring Chemistry student studying at University College London :) My main goal as a tutor is to get a firm understanding on my student's weak areas and plan lessons efficiently to help them as much as possible. I am dedicated to help tutees reach their full potential through the way that they learn and thrive the best! I am looking forward to meeting and helping everyone who's willing to boost their chemistry knowledge! On top of this, I am also keen and willing to help and make a positive impact around students' Biology and Spanish content. I attended Buxton school and finished my GCSE's with grades 9 in Biology and Chemistry, an 8 in physics, and a 7 in maths. I studied my A levels at City of London Academy Southwark and achieved A,A,A in Biology, Chemistry and Business Studies. In my gap year I worked as a tutor teaching remotely and physically. The subjects I taught were Chemistry as well as Biology.

I have availability for students as per my calendar availability. I also work with students on a weekly basis at a minimum to ensure momentum and consistency for the student. My latest start time for lessons is 6pm and I start lessons on the hour to maximise my availability for students. I have been an educator and trainer for over 17 years and love nothing more than seeing students achieve their goals. I am a scuba diving instructor as my main role and work all over the world. I enjoy watching Netflix and love diving even when I am not in work. I have been lucky to see a lot of the world through all my roles during my career. I tutor 11+, English up to the end of year 9 only and also tutor mathematics and science up to GCSE. I have knowledge of all UK countries curriculum and also the German curriculum. I myself completed the 11+ equivalent when younger and understand the commitment and learning that is needed to succeed. My favourite subjects in school were maths, science and physical education. I am also experienced in working with children with additional learning needs.
