I’m a medical student with a passion for teaching Biology, Science, and Maths at primary and GCSE levels. Almost 10 years in higher education, I’ve learned two key things: 1) Every student can succeed with the right teaching approach, and 2) Learning should be active, using techniques like spaced repetition and active recall. I focus on breaking down complex topics, using examples, mnemonics, and past papers to help students understand. I’m patient and adaptable, always ready to find new ways to explain concepts if needed. Outside of academics, I’m passionate about sports, gaming, and tech. I’ve coached an under-15 basketball team and teach guitar at my church, which helps me connect with students and build trust to boost their confidence and performance. I graduated from Glasgow in 2020 with a 2:1 in Biomedical Sciences and am currently pursuing a medical degree. My strong academic background in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, English, and Geography enables me to offer well-rounded and insightful tutoring.

Hi! I’m Emilia, a Maths and Physics tutor with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students gain confidence in STEM subjects. I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, and recently completed my BSc in Mathematics and Physics. I’m now continuing my studies at the University of Cambridge, where I’m pursuing a Master’s (MPhil) in Data Intensive Science. I’ve been tutoring for the past two years, working with students of all ages and abilities, from primary school through to A-level. Most of my experience is at GCSE level, where I particularly enjoy helping students prepare for exams, strengthen problem-solving skills, and build genuine understanding rather than just memorising formulas. Outside of tutoring, I love combining my interests in science, coding, and education, as well as exploring creative projects that make complex ideas easier to visualise and learn. I’m currently studying for an MPhil in Data Intensive Science at the University of Cambridge, where I’m developing advanced skills in computational methods, statistics, and physics-based data analysis. Before this, I completed a BSc in Mathematics and Physics, which gave me a strong foundation in mathematical modelling, mechanics, and problem-solving. Over the years, I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including primary school students, high school students, and university undergraduates. I am proud to say that my past students have achieved excellent results under my guidance, with many of them scoring top grades in their exams and developing a love for maths. Some of my most rewarding experiences as a tutor have been seeing my students grow in confidence and independence, and knowing that I played a part in their success.
