Hello there! Hope you are well. My name is Joshua Hailey and my pronouns are he/him. I have been an online tutor for over three years, and I hope this 'About Me' section gives you an insight into who I am and my teaching style. Before I go into more detail about who I am, I would urge you to read the reviews, (also on this page), from some of my current and past parents whose children I am teaching/have taught! These statements can help you make an informed decision and, (hopefully), choose me as your child's next tutor. I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. I also have a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over three years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! Education is not 'one size fits all', and online tutoring is the perfect example of this. My sessions will see your child grow from strength to strength, as they learn new concepts and methods of success in their respective subject. You will not find me simply reading off a screen for the entire lesson, but you can expect interactivity to drive every single lesson that I will (hopefully) have with your child! In addition to English tuition, I also offer Primary Maths, 11+ and History. I have experience supporting students in all these subjects, and have completed them to a GCSE/A Level standard (for more information on this, please see my 'Academic Background' section). In summary, I promise to adopt a customised learning plan and positive ethos for your child across all sessions. As the parent, you deserve to feel included in your child's progress. I will endeavour to regularly update you through messages, comprehensive written reports and periodic phone calls should you want them! Hi, Bonjour ! Je m'appelle Chloé (my name is Chloé) and I am a French native speaker :) As travelling and getting to know new cultures and languages is a real passion of mine, I am very excited to share my own; French culture and language. I myself had to learn a language that is not my native language (English) so I definitely know how challenging it is for my students to learn a new language. Therefore I can particularly help my students to overcome the fears they can have to learn a new language and truly put myself in their shoes. As it worked for me, I like to give lively interactive lessons using images or videos to optimise memory and focus. I also encourage my student to speak as much as possible, as I believe it is the best way to learn any language : 'PARLER, PARLER, PARLER'. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. I also have some experience in teaching A Levels and most particularly with adult learners and travellers. I have experience in private French and Art lessons with children aged 6 to 15. My interests include: travelling : I travelled and lived in over 11 countries and got to know very diverse cultures all over the world. Important : please note that I do not teach English anymore. Teaching Art : I have an Art and design BTEC and studied a BA at the university of the Arts of London (UAL) and currently studying at les beaux arts of Paris and have been a practicing artist ever since. I cam teach Art and Design GCSE students, particularly to give feedback on their portfolio. I am the most experienced in giving lessons from Primary to GCSE level. Merci beaucoup et a bientôt ! I've been living and studying in France most of my life until the age of 17 where I've moved to the UK to carry on my education in English. There I got the ESOL Entry 2 (NQF) and the IELTS ( grade 6.5) followed by the BTEC in Art & Design (equivalent to the bacalaureat) and then moved forward to a Fine art BA at UAL. Currently, I am in my third year of BA at Les beaux Arts of Paris ; where the French literary level is very high and sustained. In other words, I'll be very comfortable in both language to give you the clearest French lessons and to support you all along throughout the learning path you're taking!

I’m Joseph, a postgraduate Computing and Information Systems student at Queen Mary University of London with a background in Geography and Business. I specialise in helping students build confidence in Python programming, database management, and related areas. I take a supportive and structured approach, breaking down complex topics into simple steps so students can understand and apply them I am currently studying for a part-time MSc in Computing and Information Systems at Queen Mary University of London, where I am developing strong skills in programming, database management, and information systems. Prior to this, I completed a BA (Hons) in Geography with Business at the University of Nottingham, which gave me a solid foundation in analytical thinking, research, and data interpretation. This blend of technical and business-focused education allows me to support students with both computing subjects and broader problem-solving skills.

About me I love to travel, explore new places and meet people from different cultures. I spent ten years living in Athens, Greece where I worked as a private tutor: teaching TEFL to a wide variety of people - from complete beginners to students wishing to take Cambridge Proficiency exams in order to access UK universities. I have a BA Hons degree in Modern Languages: English/French with a module in Classical Greek Language and Literature. I believe in stress-free lessons , and learning in a relaxed setting. As a tutor I am not there to add pressure, but to help take pressure off. In terms of hobbies, I love reading, writing stories, and watching Turkish TV dramas. I am also a huge tennis fan. It's a thrill to help them improve their speaking and listening - as well as reading and writing skills. It's wonderful to see them grow in confidence when expressing themselves in English.
