Hi! My name is Princess Joy Granado, and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher with over four years of experience teaching English. I have had the opportunity to teach in both private and public schools, which allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds and adapt my teaching strategies to meet their varied needs. I graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English. My academic journey strengthened my mastery of the English language and further nurtured my passion for teaching. This achievement has shaped me into a dedicated, reflective, and effective educator. Currently, I teach English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Oral Communication in Context, and Practical Research 1 to Grade 11 students. I am a public school teacher with several years of teaching experience, currently handling Grade 11 students. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Plymouth. From a young age I have always enjoyed helping others as it brings happiness and joy to me. This is also the main reason why I wanted to become a tutor. In my spare time, I enjoy playing sports, particularly football and cricket. I have 2 younger brothers, so I am always entertained. I love talking and spending time with them. For secondary school, I attended the Oxford Spires Academy where I completed my GCSEs. For 6th form, I was accepted by The Cherwell School, where I completed my A-levels. At GCSE level science I achieved a grade 8/8 and at A-levels I achieved grades A in both Biology and Chemistry. In my first year of UCAS application, I did not receive any offers to study Medicine at University. However, towards the end of summer I came across an opportunity to study medicine through an alternative route. The University of Plymouth were offering a one-year transfer from Biomed to Medicine providing one achieved 3 As at A-levels, maintained a 70% pass rate across all modules in 1st year and passed the interview for Medicine. In the previous year only 2/23 applicants were successful in this route. Although this was intense, I was able to successfully transfer from Biomed to Medicine after the 1st year. This year I just completed my 1st year as a Medical student at the University of Plymouth

I am a medical student with A*AA at A-level, including an A* in Biology, and top GCSEs (all 9s in triple sciences, Geography, English Language, and RS). With 2 years of tutoring experience, I combine strong subject knowledge with a supportive approach, helping students not only achieve excellent results but also enjoy the learning process and grow in confidence. I attended Townley Grammar School and its Sixth Form, achieving 9999998877 at GCSE, with grade 9s in all Triple Sciences, English Language, Religious Studies, and Geography. At A-level I achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology, with an A* in Biology, and I am now studying Medicine at university. Alongside my studies, I have over 2 years’ experience tutoring GCSE English and Maths and mentoring students in Triple Science, supporting them as they prepared for exams. I also led my school’s Science Club, helping to inspire younger students and make science engaging beyond the classroom. In addition, I achieved a Bronze award in the British Biology Olympiad, reflecting both my academic ability and enthusiasm for learning. These experiences have strengthened my subject knowledge and my ability to explain complex ideas clearly, motivate students, and build their confidence.
