Hi, I’m Jolene, a passionate and dedicated math teacher! I teach Algebra, Geometry, and General Mathematics, and I love helping students discover that math can be both understandable and enjoyable. With three years of teaching experience, I focus on student-centered learning, using visual aids, hands-on activities, and real-world examples to make lessons engaging and meaningful. My goal is not only to help students master concepts but also to build their confidence and critical thinking skills. Outside the classroom, I enjoy mobile games, movies, and visiting relaxing places that inspire me to recharge and continue growing as an educator. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

Hello! I'm Fintan, I'm a 2nd year student at Cardiff University studying Financial Mathematics (BSc) - Primarily a further development into the field of Maths, with some time spent learning about Corporate management and Investment Management. My teaching approach focuses on consolidating knowledge and encouraging critical thinking. To excel in A-Level Maths, it is important to not only know the content, but for it to feel like second nature, so that when it comes to higher level questions, you can identify and apply the methods confidently. I attended Devonport High School for Boys from 2016 to 2023. Achieving a 9 in mathematics at GCSE level and an A in mathematics at A-level. I'm now building on the skills from A-Level in an undergraduate mathematics degree at Cardiff University. My best area in the A-Level Mathematics syllabus is Statistics.
