My name is Aminah, and I’m an Accounting and Finance student at Aston University with a strong academic background in Maths and a passion for helping students feel more confident and capable in the subject. I am a Spanish native speaker, English and Spanish teacher who enjoys meeting people and learning about other people's culture. I also speak French and I worked for Alliance Francaise for a couple of years. I have been tutoring and preparing students for their GCSE's for three years, I am currently tutoring ESL (English as a second language) and French GCSE's as well. My oldest student started when she was in year 9 and she has improved her marks in Spanish consistently I also have experience teaching children online. I am fond of walking in the nature, spending time outdoors when possible and watching TV series. Growing up in a part of Ireland rich in natural beauty, I developed a passion for hiking and camping, along with music on the Uillean pipes, Violin and piano. I enjoy language learning: specifically Spanish and Russian. Naturally, my main focus is Physics, which provides a constant challenge with every strange concept introduced I attended St. Michaels College, Enniskillen for my GCSE's, of which I obtained 8 A*s and 1 A, before switching to Enniskillen Royal Grammar School in order to pursue Further Maths. Here I obtained an A*A*A* grade in Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. I’m currently studying a Physics degree at the University of Edinburgh

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for a couple of months now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a former Sunday-School teacher and volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.
