A BEng Mechanical Engineering student from The University of Dundee who has taken A-level examinations before. I prefer mastery of concepts with the ability to employ knowledge to solve problems. I have experience with real-world engineering projects, as I am running an IMechE-affiliated aeronautical society where we develop autonomous drones for the UAS challenge. I have self-studied my A-levels, which comprise AS and A2-level Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. As a result of this solo endeavor, I have become very familiar with discipline and time management. It has helped me develop a growth mindset. I'm currently in my 2nd year. I have received straight A's during my first year transcript and am projected to maintain that grade. I employ this knowledge and critical thinking extensively for my real-world engineering projects, which aim to develop UAV's to be competitive at the national level.

I am a First-Class Computer Systems Engineering graduate. Mathematics and Computing have been central to both my academic journey and professional experience. With 11 years of teaching and tutoring experience across GCSE and A-Level, I have developed a strong understanding of the UK curriculum and the common challenges students face. I enjoy helping students move from confusion to clarity by breaking complex topics into structured, logical steps. Beyond improving grades, my goal is to help students build confidence and develop deep, sustained understanding. I believe Mathematics and Computing should feel logical and empowering — not intimidating. I completed my BSc in Computer Systems Engineering at the University of Westminster, graduating with First-Class Honours. My degree gave me a strong foundation in programming (Python, C++, C, VHDL and Assembly), embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware design and robotics. During my studies, I led and contributed to several technical projects, including designing FIR filters using VHDL, programming PIC and MBED microcontrollers, and developing software systems in C++ and Python. I was also recognised with academic excellence awards for my performance. Prior to university, I completed my A-Level certification at Ahmadu Bello University, studying Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics, and earlier obtained my secondary school leaving certificate at Livingstone College . Alongside my academic background, I have over 11 years of experience teaching and tutoring GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, as well as several years teaching Computing. I have worked in UK secondary schools as a Teaching Assistant supporting STEM subjects and SEN students, and as an online tutor delivering structured, results-driven lessons. My specialisation lies in Mathematics and Computer Science, particularly breaking complex, abstract ideas into logical, manageable steps that build deep and lasting understanding.

Hello all!! My name is Huma, and I am in my third year of MPharm. In my gap year after A-Levels, I volunteered at St Peter’s Hospital. I worked with patients, where I helped them work through their worries and concerns. I also was a lunchtime aid, where I helped patients who struggled with their eating. I have connections with successful medical school applicants, and have personal experience with the UCAT, as well as tips when it comes to acing it. I also know students in architecture, engineering and dentistry. I aim to make my sessions as specific to you as possible, helping you truly understand the content and help you fall in love with the subject. I am known by my peers to be a highly enthusiastic, young healthcare student with a positive attitude towards learning. I have a keen interest in helping pupils excel in their studies by making it easier for them to reach their goals through an adaptable teaching style to meet each student’s needs.
