I began my academic journey at Claremont High School Academy Trust, where I achieved strong GCSE results, securing grades between 9 and 6 across all subjects. Building on this foundation, I completed A-Levels in History, Tamil, Psychology, and Religious Studies, achieving AABB. My passion for law led me to the University of Kent, where I graduated with a First-Class LLB (Hons). I have since completed a Master’s degree in Law, alongside the Legal Practice Course, and am currently working at a law firm, where I am on track to qualify as a solicitor this year. Alongside my legal training, I am also pursuing a diploma in Mridangam and currently hold Grade 7. My academic development has been complemented by extensive practical legal experience gained through internships, volunteering, and hands-on work within practice, giving me a strong understanding of both legal theory and its real-world application. Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

Hi! I’m Ranie Pornela, a passionate Math teacher I love helping students understand and enjoy mathematics by connecting lessons to real-life situations and practical applications. My goal is to make math clear, engaging, and useful through step-by-step explanations, visual aids, and hands-on problem solving. I want every student to feel more confident and actually enjoy doing math after our lessons. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching movies, traveling to new places, and spending time with my dogs—they’re my favorite way to relax and recharge! I am a Licensed Mechanical Engineer and currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management. I also hold a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification. With my engineering background and teaching experience, I am able to explain complex math concepts in a clear, patient, and student-friendly way, helping learners build both understanding and confidence
