I place strong emphasis on exam techniques and confidence, ensuring students understand content and how to apply it. Students typically receive one piece of homework every three weeks (e.g., essays, writing tasks, or worksheets). Exam-year students (Years 11-13) receive up to 2 pieces every 3 weeks to support their progress. All extended tasks come with detailed feedback reports that highlight areas for improvement, assess the student's work relative to their current level, and guide how to reach the next grade or top bands. Higher Education: MA in Philosophy and Psychology - University of Glasgow - Achieved 83% in my first year and am on track for another First-Class result in my second year. - As well as I have taken a course in Archaeology for my first and second years. Further Education: - Achieved straight A*-A grades in English Literature, Sociology, and Psychology. - Completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on gambling motivations. - Self-taught A-Level Business Studies. Volunteering: - Events Coordinator, Glasgow's largest student fundraising initiative, helping to raise over £50,000 for Young Lives vs Cancer. - Volunteered with IntoUniversity, mentoring students for 25+ hours, receiving an award for contribution.

I am a Medical Doctor on a new journey to further my education. I have approximately 5 years of tutoring experience across the board. I mainly started tutoring as a way to learn and retain the content for good grades. I found that when helping my peers I also helped myself improve my grades. In lower level I have experience tutoring Science and Math while in GCSE and A-Level I tutor Chemistry, Biology and Math. In higher level tutoring, i offer services on any Subject health related eg Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology etc. I offer my services to any student who is willing to learn. I am fluent in speaking and writing English and Swahili. During my leisure time i enjoy reading a novel, spending time with friends, road trips, baking and movies . My name is Gemma and I am an English and Drama Graduate from Exeter University, 2:1 with a Creative Writing Dissertation. I have aspirations in teaching at Secondary School level and classroom and mentoring experience. I have worked for a year post graduation as a Sabbatical Officer in the Students Union. In my free time I enjoy reading, writing poetry and performing. I achieved 1x 7, 2x 8, 2x A* and 7x 9 in my GCSE's and 3x A at A level in English, Drama and Philosophy and Ethics. I took a gap year working, and volunteered in my school supporting extracurricular drama, and I have since returned 3x with paid opportunities, 2x teaching in music and drama. I went to Exeter University and studied English and Drama acheiving a 2:1 and departmental commendation for contributing to the life of the department. During my time at University I took on leadership and mentoring roles in extracurricular and this led me to my current position as a Sabbatical Officer advocating for Students in the University.
