Hello! My name is Aivy Louise, and I'm a dedicated and enthusiastic English teacher with five years of enriching teaching experience. I hold a 120-hour TEFL certificate, which has equipped me with effective strategies for teaching English as a foreign language. I am also a licensed professional teacher in my home country. My passion for education drives me to create engaging and inclusive learning environments where students feel motivated and empowered to reach their full potential. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with diverse groups of learners, tailoring my teaching methods to meet their unique needs and learning styles. I have experienced teaching English to students from Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Valencia, Korea, China, and Taiwan. I have taught grammar, literature, conversational English, business English, Travel English, and English as a Foreign Language. I firmly believe in the transformative power of education and am committed to making a positive impact in my students' lives. I have completed more than 650 classes here in GoStudent. I look forward to having you in my class! :) I earned a degree in Bachelor in English Education. Throughout my studies, I delved into a comprehensive curriculum that covered a wide range of subjects essential for English educators. These included advanced English grammar and composition, literature analysis, linguistics, and language teaching methodologies. My coursework was designed to equip me with the skills needed to effectively teach English, encompassing lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment strategies. Additionally, I participated in hands-on training through practicum experiences, where I had the opportunity to apply my learning in real classroom settings. This practical exposure allowed me to hone my teaching techniques, develop effective communication skills, and adapt to various educational environments. The rigorous training, coupled with the supportive and intellectually stimulating environment, prepared me to become a passionate and effective educator, ready to inspire and guide my future students.

ABOUT ME I have a deep interest in history, human and physical geography, anthropology, technology, architecture and engineering. I especially enjoy the history and geography of languages and language families. I am a keen traveller, audiophile and technophile, with a love for all kinds of technologies, analogue and digital, new and old. Thanks to COVID I learnt a lot of DIY skills through necessity. My house also has a garden full of fruit trees, so I guess that would make me an amateur gardener by default. I try to keep fit by cycling when possible, but my favourite sport is swimming. TEACHING EXPERIENCE/PREFERENCES The subjects I teach are History, English Literature and Language for GCSE and A-level, as well as EFL/ESL English. I tend to teach students aged 14+, so from Year 9 to Year 13 or older, but I do have a few students younger than this. I use a variety of teaching approaches, ranging from traditional methods of text analysis to modern forms of teaching, such as interactive quizzes, questionnaires and even YouTube videos if they benefit the students learning style. Exam Board Experience: AQA, Edexcel and OCR in the main. WJEC/Eduqas to a lesser extent. Languages:- English: as a first language to advanced level. Turkish: fluent to college level.
