My name is Whitman, and I am a third-year at the University of Chicago studying Astrophysics and Economics with a minor in Classics. Originally born in New York City, I grew up in London my entire life where I completed the IB Diploma. Outside of academics, I row at UChicago, play piano, and love to read. I am currently studying Astrophysics and Economics with a minor in Classics at the University of Chicago. I also completed my IB Diploma with HL Maths AA, HL Physics, HL Economics, HL History, SL English Lang. & Lit., and SL Spanish B. My specialisations include all of my HL subjects, and also Spanish as after graduating highschool I lived and worked in Argentina.

Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm 22 years old from the North East. I am currently completing my Masters in Developmental Psychology and have a deep interest in education and teaching. My background in psychology has helped me to gain a deep understanding of how young people learn and how best to explain tricky concepts. In my free time I enjoy reading, pilates and spending time with my dog! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your full potential :) I am currently a Masters student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Developmental Psychology. I am expected to receive a Merit grade. Previous to this, I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam and achieved a 2:1 grade. I am an experienced Mathematics and Chemistry tutor with over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Education in Mathematics Education from the University of Cambridge. I have taught and tutored students across 11 Plus, GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB Mathematics, as well as Chemistry. My teaching style is warm, patient, structured and adaptable. I enjoy helping students build confidence, close gaps in understanding, strengthen problem-solving skills and prepare effectively for exams. I also enjoy working with high-achieving students who need stretch and challenge. I support them in developing deeper mathematical thinking, tackling complex problems and aiming for the highest grades. I have also worked as a Pearson Edexcel Mathematics examiner, which has strengthened my understanding of assessment standards, mark schemes and exam technique. In addition to classroom teaching, I have built and developed mathematics curricula, designed assessments, managed teachers, supported departmental planning and prepared my own classes for external examinations. I am a patient and supportive tutor with an Agriculture Management background. Passionate about helping students understand concepts step-by-step and build confidence and able to work independently in thier learning journey. In my spare time I like sports, music, adventures and reading. I look forward to meet you. I completed a Diploma in Agriculture Management at Potchefstroom College of Agriculture and I am currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Agriculture Management at the University of South Africa (UNISA). My studies include Agricultural Economics, Animal Health, Soil Science, Research Methodology, Agricultural Management, Computer Applications, and Crop Production. I also hold TEFL training and I am developing experience in online tutoring and academic support, focusing on patient, step-by-step learning and student confidence building.
