My studies gave me a strong foundation in all areas of physics, along with biology and medical applications like imaging, radiation therapy, and anatomy. During my MSc, I worked as a Medical Physics Assistant and Research Assistant, gaining hands-on experience in both clinical and academic settings. After that, I spent a year doing research at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) – part of the United Nations – where I also gave lectures and workshops on physics and science to people of all skill levels. I’m now doing a PhD in Medical Physics at VUB in Brussels, focusing on computational and biological physics—combining research, problem-solving, and my love for teaching. Teaching has been a big part of my journey. I tutored first- and second-year students during my undergrad, taught students at GoStudent during COVID, and I’m excited to be back tutoring now. Helping others understand science is something I genuinely enjoy.

The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics. Hi, I’m John Audry, an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher! I have over two years of teaching under my belt, and I have always loved helping students explore the world of mathematics in engaging and innovative ways. My goal is to make learning mathematics easy and exciting for everyone through interactive activities and stimulating problem-solving sessions that spark curiosity and build confidence in my students. Also, I make sure to give real-world applications of the abstract theories in mathematics to make it feel more relatable. In my free time, I enjoy working and designing machines and engines, which has developed my attention to detail, and has helped me stay sharp, focused, and analytical. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, where I gained a robust foundation in mathematical theories, scientific concepts, and their real-world applications.
