I know many students come in feeling unsure, so I create a space where you can ask questions freely, try without fear, and learn at your own pace. My classes feel friendly, supportive, and clear. I explain ideas in a way that makes everything feel easier to follow, using visuals and real-life examples so learning feels more relaxed and less overwhelming. I pay attention to how you think, and I adjust my approach so learning feels natural—not stressful or confusing. Most of all, I focus on building confidence. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology with Education units, giving me a strong foundation in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication. This background allows me to integrate technology, structured reasoning, and efficient learning tools into my teaching. I’ve completed additional training and hands-on experience that strengthened my ability to simplify complex ideas and support students with diverse learning needs. Years of working with learners of different ages have made me highly adaptable, responsive, and confident in adjusting to each student’s pace. I continue to grow professionally by studying new teaching methods, digital tools, and modern strategies, ensuring every lesson benefits from current best practices. My focus is simple: to bring strong technical skills, educational training, and adaptability together so students feel supported, capable, and set up for success.

I have been tutoring with GoStudent for six months now, having formerly worked at museums, churches and summer camps. I enjoy working with children and am a current Sunday-School teacher and former volunteer with several youth charities. I also have two years of classroom experience with Years 2 and 3, but am happy to work with children of any age, teaching English, Maths, History, Latin, and RE. Please note I do not take adult learners at this time. I am a graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in History, also having taken papers in Classics and Theology. I won several prizes during my degree, including three prize scholarships and the Roy Porter Prize for History in my second year. Prior to my degree, I took three A-Levels in History, Maths and English, receiving all A*s, and prior to that, ten GCSEs, receiving all 9s.

Hey, My name is Mahammadzaid but my preferred name is Zaid, Highly experienced tutor for Maths and Further Maths. I have experience in both Online and in-person tutoring. Positive feedbacks from my previous students as well as supervisors. Passionate about Learning and teaching Maths. Taught students in after school convention in different schools. Currently studying BSc Maths and Data science at City UoL. I attended Newham sixth form college for my GCSEs as well as A levels. Did A level Maths, A level Further Maths and A level Physics Currently doing my degree at City university of London, Studying Mathematics with data science BSc second year. I have over 10 years of experience in Education, learning, and development, teaching in both Primary and Secondary Schools. I specialise in teaching 11+, Social Sciences and prepping for national exams. I love helping students bridge the gap between what they currently know and what they need to know, by building confidence and resilience in their subject knowledge and approach to learning, especially in areas which they find particularly daunting. Engagement in learning is key. All lessons must be interactive to encourage learning and development. I encourage engagement through quizzes, questions, games, opinions, matching & sorting activities and use of mixed media. I adapt to different learning styles by meeting children where they are at, finding out what they currently know and using that information as a foundation to make learning accessible for them. I use assessments to track progress and plug gaps in their knowledge. My passion is to create successful learners who are able to achieve and exceed the goals they set for themselves. At A-Level, I studied Sociology (Grade A), Psychology (Grade B) and ICT (Grade C) at Southwark College. I then completed my BSc in Sociology and Criminology at City University, achieving a 2:1. I also have a PGCE in Upper Primary which I completed at Goldsmiths College. Additionally, I have a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Learning and Development.
