I completed my Bachelor of Education Degree in Senior and FET PHASE, majoring in Mathematics, Geography and IsiZulu Home Language with University of Pretoria. I also did my Teaching English as Foreign Language. I recently completed my Bachelor of Education Honours in Mathematics and Science Education. I’m now persuading my Master of Education in Mathematics Education with University of Pretoria. I’ve worked as an Education Assistant at Thathunyawo High School. I was teaching Mathematics grade 10, 11 & 12 Natural Sciences Grade 9. I also worked as an online teacher at International Schooling an online school based in Singapore, I was teaching Mathematics and Science Grade 7-12. I am now working as a Grade 12 Mathematical Literacy, Grade 10 Mathematics. The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics. I completed my GCSE's at Ormiston Forge Academy where I achieved grades 9-5 in 10 GCSE subjects, including Mathematics 6 and English 7. Additionally, I did my A Levels at Forge too, I got AAAB in Mathematics, Physics, Sociology and EPQ. As a result, I have completed my BSc Honours Mathematics degree with a FIRST CLASS scoring an average of 75.17%.
