I'm Hannah and I'm a tutor for anyone between the ages of 4 to 16. I specialise in teaching primary school Maths, English and Literacy to children following the UK or Scottish curriculum but have taught a variety of others! I use lots of different methods to help you learn, which are personalised to what you need. I love learning through talking, which is why I love learning foreign languages and travelling! I also like being outside and I think hands-on learning is the best! I currently am studying for my MA in Education. I have received three As in Advanced Highers (equivalent to first year university level) in Maths, Spanish and Scottish Gaelic. I have received seven As in Highers (equivalent to AS levels) in Maths, English, History, Chemistry, Spanish, French and Scottish Gaelic.

BSc Biomedical Science graduate, currently in medical school. I teach: Junior Certificate science (all levels), Leaving Certificate Biology (all levels), GCSE Biology and AS/A-Level Biology. I am passionate about making science fun, practical and easy to understand. Throughout my career and studies, I've been immersed in the complexities of science, and I understand how daunting it can seem. But I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can grasp it. That's why I'm here - to break down complex topics into simple, understandable concepts, making it accessible and engaging for my students. My teaching strategy is focused on exam-based lessons, helping students practice with marking schemes and key terms to refine their answers and maximise their scores. By working through past paper questions and understanding what examiners look for, my students build confidence in applying their knowledge effectively under exam conditions. I am familiar with several exam boards including AQA, Edexcel, CIE, and many more, and I tailor my lessons to align with each board's specific requirements. A typical lesson with me involves reviewing key topics to ensure a solid understanding of the subject matter. We'll start by discussing the areas where the student feels least confident, addressing any questions or difficulties they have. I then guide them through relevant exam-style questions, focusing on how to structure their answers using marking schemes and key terms. Throughout the lesson, I offer feedback to help improve their exam technique, highlighting common mistakes and strategies for tackling tricky questions. My goal is to make sure students not only grasp the content but also feel more prepared for the types of questions they will face in their exams. In 2020, I graduated from the University of Essex (UK) with a degree in Biomedical Science (BSc), giving me a strong foundation in Life Sciences, including Biology. Prior to that, I took my Leaving Certificate in Biology, Chemistry and Physics (all higher level) in Franciscan College Gormanston, Ireland. For my Junior Certificate, I took science at higher level and achieved an A.

I am a qualified teacher with 4 years of experience in teaching English. I currently teach Grade 1 learners in South Africa. I believe that learning should be fun and encourage a holistic development. I enjoy reading and hiking. I also enjoy trying out different kinds of food. I completed my matric at Wordsworth High school, thereafter I enrolled for Hospitality Studies at the International Hotel School and graduated in 2017. I further enrolled at the University of KwaZulu Natal for my BEd Degree and specialized in the Foundation Phase. I am currently a Foundation Phase teacher and teach Grade 1 learners. I am also currently studying for my Honors Degree at the University of Pretoria specializing in Learner Support.

Hi, I’m Nushra Imtiyas — an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher of both Mathematics and English, with a genuine love for helping students grow in confidence and ability. I believe learning should never feel dull or overwhelming; instead, it should be engaging, meaningful, and even enjoyable. Whether we’re analysing a text in English or solving a challenging Maths problem, I aim to create lessons that spark curiosity and encourage students to think deeply and independently. I love transforming abstract ideas into something relatable and clear. In English, that might mean stepping into a character’s perspective, debating themes, or connecting literature to real-life experiences. In Maths, it could mean breaking down complex problems into manageable steps and linking concepts to everyday situations so they feel practical and relevant. My teaching style is interactive and student-centred. I encourage discussion, questioning, and active participation because I believe students learn best when they feel heard and involved. I use visuals, real-world examples, guided practice, and creative activities to ensure that every learner — regardless of their starting point — feels supported. Most importantly, I celebrate progress, no matter how small. Watching a student move from “I don’t understand” to “I’ve got this” is the most rewarding part of my work. Beyond teaching, I enjoy reading, playing netball, and jogging every morning. Staying active keeps me energised, focused, and positive — qualities I bring into every lesson. For me, teaching is not just about academics; it’s about inspiring resilience, building confidence, and helping students realise that they are capable of far more than they think. I graduated with a degree in Software Engineering, where I focused on English, Mathematics, and Information Technology. This combination gave me a strong balance of logical thinking and creativity, which I now bring into my teaching. Over the past six years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring students of different ages and abilities, and that experience has helped me grow not just as a teacher, but as a mentor too. My studies gave me a solid understanding of teaching methods, language, and literature, while also strengthening my problem-solving and communication skills. I learned how to plan lessons that are clear, engaging, and structured in a way that makes learning feel manageable rather than overwhelming. I also developed the ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs, whether a student learns best through visuals, discussion, practice, or step-by-step guidance. Most importantly, I always aim to create a warm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence. For me, teaching is not just about delivering content it’s about helping every student feel capable and encouraged to reach their full potential.
