Hi there! I'm an enthusiastic and dedicated tutor specialising in Mathematics and Physics across various educational levels including GCSE, A-Level, Nat5, and Higher. I also offer tutoring in maths and physics outside these specific curricula, tailored to individual learning needs and goals. My academic journey is fueled by a deep passion for both maths and physics, which drives me to continually expand my knowledge in these subjects. I spend a significant portion of my time studying and exploring new concepts and ideas, as well as engaging with programming languages such as Python, LaTeX, and Maxima, which complement and enhance my teaching capabilities. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am actively working towards achieving Grade 7 in Piano (ABRSM). I also attended the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, an experience that instilled in me a strong sense of leadership, resilience, and teamwork. I strive to bring clarity and enthusiasm to my tutoring sessions, aiming to inspire a love for learning and a deep understanding of the material. I attended secondary school in northern England and I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, and Physics at A-Level. I then went to the University of Edinburgh to study a BSc in Mathematics. I now study an integrated masters in Physics with the aspiration to study a PhD in Mathematical Physics in a couple of years.

Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. I am passionate about Chemistry, with a PhD in the subject and over five years of tutoring experience. My tutoring style is to ensure a solid foundation in the core concepts, then practicing the skills with exam questions. I cover all exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc) and all topics in Chemistry at GCSE and A level. My highest level of education is a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University. I also obtained an MChem with First Class Honours from Durham University. My A level subjects were Chemistry, Maths, Biology and French (all A grades), as well as 11 A* grades at GCSE.
