Hi! My name is Lucy and I'm 22 years old from the North East. I am currently completing my Masters in Developmental Psychology and have a deep interest in education and teaching. My background in psychology has helped me to gain a deep understanding of how young people learn and how best to explain tricky concepts. In my free time I enjoy reading, pilates and spending time with my dog! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you to reach your full potential :) I am currently a Masters student at Sheffield Hallam University, studying Developmental Psychology. Previous to this, I did my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam and achieved a 2:1 grade. For my A-Levels, I did psychology (grade C), english literature (grade B) and history (grade B), as well as an EPQ (grade B). I have my GCSEs in both maths and english. While I found the rigid exam structure of psychology at A-levels tricky, diving into the discipline at uni has allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of how the exam boards trip students up, and how to best help students to excel in rigid exams.

I am a highly dedicated and approachable tutor, currently a medical student, with a strong academic background and a proven ability to help students unlock their full potential. Having achieved top grades throughout my own education, I understand exactly what it takes to succeed in competitive exams—and more importantly, how to teach those skills in a way that actually makes sense to students. My strength lies in breaking down difficult concepts into simple, clear steps that students can confidently apply on their own. As a medical student, I am also able to offer specialist support for students aspiring to study medicine. This includes UCAT preparation, structured interview coaching, and expert guidance through the medical school application process. I achieved 6 A* grades at GCSE, demonstrating early excellence across a wide range of subjects and a strong work ethic from the outset of my academic journey. At A-Level, I studied Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry, achieving high grades in all three. These subjects not only required strong analytical and problem-solving skills, but also the ability to apply knowledge under exam pressure—skills I now actively pass on to my students to help them improve their own performance and confidence. Alongside my A-Levels, I completed an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) on antibiotic resistance, an area of real scientific relevance. This independent research project developed my ability to think critically, evaluate complex information, and communicate ideas in a clear, structured way—skills that are essential for academic success and effective exam technique. I am currently a medical student, a highly competitive course that reflects both my academic ability and commitment to excellence. Studying medicine has further strengthened my understanding of science at a deeper level, while also training me to break down complex topics into simple, logical steps—an approach I use directly in my tutoring to help students understand, retain, and apply what they learn with confidence.

I am known by my peers to be a highly enthusiastic, young healthcare student with a positive attitude towards learning. I have a keen interest in helping pupils excel in their studies by making it easier for them to reach their goals through an adaptable teaching style to meet each student’s needs. Besides academia, I am someone who is passionate about learning languages, as well as playing sports like Badminton and playing guitar. I love trying new things and I am always up for a challenge that may come my way. At university, I was a student representative for 2 years, hence I have experience of being a leader.

My name is Khalood Zara, and I am a Law graduate with a strong and diverse academic background. Alongside studying Law at university, I completed A-levels in Mathematics, Economics, Business, and Psychology, which provided me with a broad foundation across both essay-based and quantitative subjects. This combination has enabled me to develop excellent written communication, analytical reasoning, and numerical skills, allowing me to support students with a range of learning styles and academic needs.
