Hello! My name is Mark and I’m a graduate from Northumbria University with a 1st class Physics BSc with honours. I like to focus my sessions on the areas of a subject that you struggle with the most, starting from the beginning and building a strong understanding that you can use in the classroom and your exams. My sessions are pupil-led, where I am there to provide guidance, direction, examples and support. I love physics, especially the topics of space and energy, and I think that a passionate teacher can make even the most difficult subjects more approachable. I have experience tutoring, helping local pupils with their physics over COVID lock-downs. I look forward to meeting you! I have graduated from Northumbria University Newcastle with a First Class Bachelors with Honours in Physics. I studied Physics (A), Computer Science (A) and English Literature (B) at Bacup & Rawtenstall Grammar School. I have 12 months experience tutoring GCSE physics both online and in person.

Hi! My name is Oliver, but everyone calls me Ollie, and I have been studying Politics at the University of Warwick since September 2023. I did A-Levels in my home city of Liverpool. I love my subject and I love teaching children as I have done before working at Kumon. I play instruments with my favourite being the drum kit, and I love playing board games with people! I also sometimes go skiing with my family. I completed my A-levels in Mathematics, Psychology, and Politics at the Liverpool Blue Coat Grammar School in 2023 and am currently studying Politics and International Studies at the University of Warwick. I am experienced in teaching both English and Mathematics from ages 4-16 at various levels, as I have done so for Kumon for a number of years before and during lockdown.

I love animals, board games and books, and look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for my subjects. A Levels: History - A* Government and Politics - A* English Literature - A GCSE: English Language - 9 History - 9 English Literature - 8 Biology - 8 Physics - 7 Chemistry - 6 Maths - 6 I’m extremely passionate about sharing my love for these subjects and helping others to understand them. Hi! I'm Joshua from Brighton, I'm a Physics graduate, with degrees from Leicester and UCL. I'm passionate about making maths and physics accessible and exciting. I've been tutoring GCSE and A-Level students for several years, and what I love most is seeing that "aha!" moment when a challenging concept finally clicks. I remember struggling with certain topics myself during my studies, which makes me patient and great at breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps. My teaching philosophy is simple: master exam technique for excellent grades while building genuine problem-solving skills that serve you long-term. I tailor every session to your unique learning style, whether you're visual, hands-on, or prefer step-by-step explanations. When I'm not tutoring or researching, I enjoy staying active outdoors and keeping up with the latest developments in space science and climate technology. Let's work together to achieve your goals! I graduated with First Class Honours in Physics from the University of Leicester, consistently scoring 80-90+% and winning the Departmental Prize for academic excellence. I recently completed my MSc in Risk and Disaster Science at UCL with distinction. My professional experience includes working with Planet Labs on satellite climate analysis, collaborating with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction on heat wave research, and presenting findings at prestigious conferences including the Royal Meteorological Society and Royal Aeronautical Society. I'm also a committee member at the Institute of Physics Environmental Physics Group. This real-world experience means I can show you why what you're learning actually matters, from satellite navigation to climate science applications.
