I do, however, encourage all my students to engage in spaced repetition learning. Whether we schedule that in during our sessions or if we use anki, this is probably the most important method of retaining information. Hi! I’m Mehmood, 19 years old and currently studying medicine (MBBS) at Hull York Medical School. While I absolutely love studying, I have many other passions that burn just as brightly — I’m into sports, gym, and cycling, and I’m always open to trying new ones! Some cool facts about me: I speak English, Pashto and Urdu. Also, I have a 4-year-old tabby cat called Misty, and I’m one of six siblings! I’d describe myself as calm, composed, and confident—and I’m excited to share my tips and tricks to help others rise to the top of their academics. I attended St. Peter's RC High School in Gorton, where I studied separate sciences, business, geography, religious studies, and core subjects, achieving 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. I then studied biology, psychology, and chemistry at Loreto Sixth Form College, earning A*AB in my A-levels. During my medical school application, I achieved a UCAT score of 2750 Band 1, securing four medical school interviews and ultimately firming Hull York Medical School—where I am currently studying medicine (MBBS). Alongside my academic journey, I’ve been a private tutor for the past two years, helping students build confidence and achieve top grades in science and math. I also completed a 3-week teaching internship at COOP Academy, delivering science lessons to Year 8 and 9 students. Additionally, I’ve gained valuable clinical experience working in GP practices and hospital settings, consulting with patients and developing strong communication and empathy skills. My educational background reflects a strong foundation in science and a passion for teaching. I’m excited to share the strategies and insights that helped me succeed and to support students in reaching their full academic potential.

I have just started university and I am eager to help my students in a supportive way with a dynamic based on mutual respect. Outside of my studies I love to watch football, go on hikes in the South Downs and read the financial times, as I am of course interested in any developments in markets. I went to Sackville School, East Grinstead and completed 12 GCSE's and one level 2 certificate in Further Maths, all at grade 7 and above. I then progressed to my A-Levels, achieving A*AAA in Maths, Further Maths, Economics and Physics. During my time I also gained a Gold Certificate in the Senior Maths Challenge and participated in the Senior Maths Kangaroo, whilst also participating in the FCDO Next generation Economics essay competition.

Hi! I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Warwick, one of the top universities in the UK. I’ve always had a strong passion for learning and teaching, especially when it comes to Maths and Physics. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate with a score of 41 out of 45, which is equivalent to AAA at A-Level. I scored 7 out of 7 in Physics HL and 6 out of 7 in Maths AA, which is one of the most challenging maths courses in the IB. Before that, I completed my IGCSEs with A* across all subjects. As a tutor, I focus on creating a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I tailor each session to suit the student’s pace and learning style, and I always aim to make lessons as engaging and understandable as possible. Whether your child is aiming for top marks or just needs a bit of extra help to catch up, I’m here to support them every step of the way! I genuinely enjoy helping students unlock their potential, and I’d love the opportunity to help your child do the same. Currently I'm a student at the university of Warwick doing Bachelor's computer science. I attended high school in Dubai in which I completed my IGCSE's and GCSES, as well as International Baccalaureate which is equivalent to A-levels but with 6 subjects instead of 3. My specialization is currently in computer science but I prefer teaching Mathematics and physics. I also really enjoy psychology as well and love to teach that.
