My Academic Journey I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science, which provided me with a solid foundation in science and a deep appreciation for the intricate wonders of life. Currently, I’m diving even deeper into the fascinating world of microbiology as I pursue a Master’s Degree in Medical Technology. It’s a challenging but rewarding path, and I love bringing the latest insights from my studies straight to my classroom.

Levels and subjects you teach: I can teach maths at A level and lower Exam boards experience: AQA , Edexcel Preferred student age group: GCSE/A Level I use my communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts in simple terms. My responsibility in my role, is to assist students when help is required. I have gained skills in time management and teamwork. Also I have experienced professionalism and have had to be flexible and resilient to complete a given task. Dedicated professional student currently studying towards A Mathematics degree at Queen Mary University of London. Hello. My name is Darren Beech and I have been a Science Teacher for 26 years. I have taught all three science specialisms at key stage 3 (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), Biology and Chemistry at GCSE and A level Biology. I have taught all ability ranges over these years and have had exemplary success with the students in my classes. Having left main school teacher in the summer of 2025 to care for a disabled parent, I have moved into tutoring to continue passing on my passion for science and to help continue to get students to progress through their qualifications Having completed my GCSE;s (1992) and A levels (1995), I moved to the University of Derby to complete a BSC (HONS) degree in Biology (1998) and then onto a PGCE (Secondary science) with DeMontfort University (1999). I have then taught in 4 schools over my career as a teacher of science, where I also had additional responsibilities such as Head of Biology and Deputy Head of the 6th form.
