I'm Klersa, I am studying Neuroscience at the University of Edinburgh. I studied biology, chemistry and physics at A level and I obtained A*AA. I enjoy tutoring and helping students improve their understanding of the subjects they struggle with, by personalising my teaching method to their needs. I think students can grow to love science subjects with the right help! I teach biology, physics, chemistry, and science at GCSE level and biology and chemistry at A level. I have experience with AQA, OCR A, and Edexcel exam boards. In my free time I enjoy hiking, attending live music and theatre events and reading books! I am a year 3 undergrad student at the University of Edinburgh. I study Neuroscience, which involves a lot of chemistry and biology. I hold A-level qualifications in physics, ...

Hi! I am a dedicated and friendly maths tutor with 3 years of experience supporting students at KS3, GCSE, and A-level. I focus on helping students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and improve exam technique in both pure and applied maths. I am confident working with all major UK exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, and OCR, and I tailor my sessions to match each student's syllabus and learning style. I have helped learners prepare effectively for GCSE and A-level exams, often helping them improve by a grade or more. Currently, I am studying Law at the University of Leeds, which sharpens my logical thinking and communication skills, which directly enhances my tutoring. I bring a calm, structured, and encouraging approach to every session, always aiming to make maths feel more manageable and even enjoyable! Currently studying Law at the University of Leeds, where I am developing strong analytical and communication skills. Achieved A levels in Maths (A), French (A), Biology (A), and Chemistry (A), providing a broad scientific and mathematical foundation. This diverse background supports my clear and logical learning styles, enabling me to explain complex concepts effectively.

I aim to make learning enjoyable and stress-free by breaking down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts. My approach is patient and encouraging, aiming to help students feel comfortable and motivated to achieve their best and more while instilling confidence in their ways of thinking and problem-solving. I have completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology and am now studying Biomedical Science, specialising in biology, chemistry and a certain level of maths as well. My studies emphasise critical thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on lab skills. Beyond academics, I have a strong background in teaching and mentoring. As a co-founder of our Sixth Form's first Medical Society, I guided my peers through everything needed to go through university applications, interviews for not only medical school but also related courses. I have continued this by mentoring first-year university students, helping them adjust to coursework and academic challenges, and personalising teaching methods for each student. My support has led to positive results, with the students excelling in assignments and finding my guidance invaluable.

A growing number of students are now using their time in summers to go over the curriculum before the school starts. This boosts the student's confidence in class, and students have reported an improvement in their grades. If you are a KS3, GCSE (Physics or Math) or A levels (Physics) student, you need 30-50 hours to go over curriculum content once, meaning you've to spare 3-4 hours a week to stay ahead of your class when school starts. Feel free to book a free trial lesson to discuss the right lesson plan for you Levels and Subjects I Teach 11+ Exam Preparation (Math, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning) KS3: Math and Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) GCSE: Physics and Math both foundation and higher tier A-Level: Physics Exam Board Experience Majority of my students have been affiliated with AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge. I have helped students prepare for 11 plus exam and also tutored KS3 students. Languages I am fluent in English and Urdu I can speak and understand Hindi and Punjabi SEND experience: I have experience of teaching students with ADHD and dyslexia Preferred Student Age Group I understand that one needs to adapt according to the student's age group- with primary year and middle year students you need to be very engaging and make the lessons as simple as possible whereas with GCSE and A-levels you can count on the student's foundational knowledge and use higher level of pedagogy. I mostly use powerpoint presentations to tutor KS3 students and while helping my students prepare for their 11+ exam, and it has proved to make lessons more engaging for them. However, in case of GCSE and A-levels, I invite my students to the whiteboard so we can solve, draw and practice in real-time. I believe that I am comfortable in working with students of all age groups: KS3, GCSE and A-levels. About Me I am a Civil Engineer pursuing a Master's in Water Resources Management, with over 9 years of experience in the STEM field. Since early 2022, I have taught Physics and Mathematics to Middle Year, GCSE, and A-Level students, with over 90% of my students achieving top grades (7+ in GCSE or A/A* at A-Level). My teaching approach ensures students not only understand the material but also enjoy the learning process. Academically, I have consistently ranked among the top performers: Rank 1 in my College Exam Board, Rank 5 in High School, a finalist in the International Chemistry Olympiad, and recipient of the prestigious Industrial Award during my undergraduate studies. Additionally, I earned a certification from the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in "Learning to Teach Online," where I learned how to effectively use technology and innovative teaching techniques. My focus is on ensuring students grasp the "Thought Behind Things," enabling them to confidently approach any question and excel in their exams. I have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and graduated in 2019 with Industrial Award. I have a certification in Online Teaching from the University of New South Wales. I ranked 1st in my College board exam (2015) and ranked 5th in my High School board exam (2013).
