been tutoring for over 4 years from primary school standard to IB standard. All the resources I use are made by myself for each students particular needs and I always aim for students to achieve top grades. I am available to tutor all the subjects in my profile to GCSE level I also tutor Geography HL, English Literature SL and Mathematics A&I SL at IB level I completed 11 different GCSE subjects in the year 2020 and moved on to complete the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in my time at 6th form (the IB is an equivalent of A-Levels but with 6 subjects instead of 3). I’m a lively and creative tutor who makes learning English, English Literature, and Creative Writing exciting for students from elementary to Grade 12. I also teach elementary Geography and Biology, high school and introductory university Psychology, as well as high school Sociology. My lessons inspire curiosity, build confidence, and make learning engaging and fun! I completed my grade 12 high school diploma at Oaklands Secondary School in Cape Town, South Africa. I worked for several years as an educator at various schools in South Africa, teaching from grades 6 to 12. My subjects were English and Afrikaans at the senior level, and Biology and Geography at the elementary level. I am now completing my final year of a Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in English and Psychology. I have also completed a certificate in The Principles of Human Resources.

Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.
