Hi, I’m Maja! (Pronounced Maya). I’m an astrophysics postgrad and a qualified secondary school science teacher. I’ve been through the full rollercoaster of science education, from fighting my way through a master’s degree and emerging with first-class honours, to teaching Year 9s on a Friday afternoon who would rather be anywhere else. Now I help GCSE and A-Level students believe what I already know: you can do this. My goal is to make science feel understandable, interesting, and even a bit fun. When I’m not teaching, you'll find me hanging upside down on an aerial hoop, or writing stories inspired by science and folklore. I went to secondary school in Hungary, where I was initially more interested in the humanities, until I fell in love with space and modern physics. For my leaving qualifications, I completed Advanced Exams in Mathematics and Physics and achieved an A. At university, I completed an integrated Master of Physics degree at the University of Southampton. My first three years focused on general physics (including lab work, mechanics, quantum physics, solid state physics, and wave physics) with a few modules of astronomy. During my master’s year, I had the incredible opportunity to conduct research at the Harvard & Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I studied the relationship between black holes and their host galaxies and wrote my thesis on this topic. I graduated with first-class honours in Astrophysics. After university, I felt drawn to education and wanted to help students grasp the beauty of science, so I completed a year of school-centred initial teacher training. I now hold a PGCE with QTS as a qualified science teacher.

Hi! I’m Gracy, a third-year Law student at the University of Warwick! I’ve been tutoring for over six years and love helping students build confidence, deepen their understanding, and reach their academic goals- whether that’s preparing for exams or simply feeling more comfortable with a subject. I tutor a range of subjects including English, Maths, and 11+ preparation, and I always tailor my approach to suit each student’s learning style and exam board. I’m passionate about seeing students thrive and grow in their abilities, and I genuinely enjoy supporting them throughout their academic journey. Creating a positive, encouraging learning environment is at the heart of everything I do. I attended City of London School for Girls for both Secondary School and Sixth Form, where I achieved strong academic results, including grades 9- 7 at GCSE, with a 9 in Maths, 9 in English Language, and an 8 in English Literature. I also achieved three A* grades at A Level in English Literature, Religious Studies, and Product Design. Having successfully gone through the 11+ process to gain entry to this highly selective school, I have first-hand experience of competitive academic pathways. I am currently studying Law at the University of Warwick, where I am predicted to achieve a 2:1. This academic background allows me to support students with both subject knowledge and effective study and exam techniques.

I am an experienced and passionate math tutor dedicated to helping students build confidence and master mathematical concepts. Whether you are struggling with foundational algebra or tackling advanced calculus, I tailor my teaching methods to suit your unique learning style. My goal is to make math accessible, engaging, and much less intimidating. I focus on breaking down complex problems into manageable, easy-to-understand steps so that you not only get the right answer but truly understand the 'why' behind it. Let's work together to achieve your academic goals! I am currently a gap year student and I have achieved A*A*A in my A levels in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science respectively. I held offers from UCL, LSE, Manchester and Warwick and will be going on to study Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Warwick. I am also confident in tutoring mathematics admissions exams such as the MAT and TMUA after achieving 7.6 in my TMUA. I have experience as a tutor working in a maths centre (Mathnasium). In that fast-paced environment, I worked with students ranging from years 4 to 11, which taught me how to quickly identify a student's unique learning style and adapt my teaching on the spot.

I am an extremely enthusiastic and positive person. I currently teach English early years, Primary school/Reception year. SEND Primary and Highschool and ESL, with over 25 years experience. Patience is my middle name. I am an energetic and a fun teacher. Using a variety of methods including: auditory, visual, reading/writing, verbal and kinaesthetic movement. I look forward to meeting you, my future student. My academic journey started after high school and continues to present. Studying and learning never stops. It is a part of self growth. I actively ensure I continuously follow CLP. Fields of teaching include: English Reception year, English Primary school, English Primary and Highschool for SEN, SEND and ALN students who are looking to improve their skills in English. I also teach English as a Second language and Business English. An achievement of mine was when one of my students won GOLD at the Shanghai Special Olympics. In January 2025, GoStudent have added AI to GoClass. AI training was completed and is boosting tutoring outcomes.
